Greetings and Salutations RFPers:

My name is Patrick (aka Commander William Bosco) and I came across this forum recently while researching a planned project and thus, have decided to join in... WOW! This definitely showcases some awesome talent and dedication to the craft. Neither an artist nor particularly crafty, I come as a SciFi fan in general and huge fan of Star Trek (TOS mostly) with an insatiable compulsion to collect (nearly anything) and a newly-found fascination/obsession with all things steampunk. My primary goal here at RFP is searching both for inspiration and education.

Cheers!

Greetings!

Been visiting the site off and on for a long time. There is a lot of very fine work being done here by a lot of very talented people. Some of my own work as been based on the ingenuity of the members here. I'm hoping I can contribute in some small way to this community in return for the knowledge I have gained. Thanks.

Cheers, folks.

Hi, everyone! I'm from the East Coast of Canada. I used to be a bad ass but now I'm becoming a nerd. I just got bit by the collecting bug and I bought a Michael Myers mask NAG 75K. I also have a bunch of WWF LJN wrestlers and a bunch of 80s toys that I found on eBay. Now, I'm a big fan of Adam Savage and his man cave vids and I'd like to start getting into making my own props and costumes etc. I'm sort of an artist I guess, graphic designer and I like to build stuff. I've never made anything with foam or rubber or with molds or anything like that, but I'm eager to try. I hope to meet lots of you talented folks and I look forward to learning some skills!

Greetings everyone. After being introduced to the site several years ago and lurking off-and-on-again I have decided to register. Currently in the process of preping for my Captain America shield. I have done several projects (costumes, props) in the past, mainly for Halloween and parties. Need to get back and put the final touches on a Nimbus 2000 which I started making for my wife a week before the last con (I probably should have started 2-3 days earlier).

You have done some nice work here, I really like the Ralph McQuarrie Boba Fett!

Olá e bem-vindo! (my Portuguese is limited, I read and understand it better than I speak or write). You did some awesome work here, at the last con I went as Severus Snape and my wife as a gryffindor student. I was making her a Nimbus 2000 to walk around with but underestimated the time to complete it (I needed a couple more days). I figure that the next time we do that I wanted to have her carry a Daily Prophet with a tablet worked into it so to animate one of the photos... I may need to contact you in the future for time on creating the Prophet. Again, great work.

Hello All,
I am a massive TV/movie junkie with my favorites being Dexter, X-Files, Community, and Eureka. I found this thread while researching Dexter props and used your posts to help track down several prop replicas. The site and your posts have been such a huge help that I decided to jump in and join the community. I am an artist and high school art teacher so I have a real passion for creating and learning new techniques and I hope to gain a deeper understanding of prop making/building and the different techniques involved. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that DrewSmith007 is still making his Dexter Kill Knife replica because that has been on my list for a while. I'm very excited to be a part of this community and I can't wait to learn from you and hopefully contribute my own knowledge as well.
Matt

Maybe full costumes as well so hope it will work out for me in here

from Finland, I used to collect all things Star Wars as a kid, as well as drawing comics and playing the stories out with like minded friends. Then became a historical re-enactor (18th centuryNapoleonic wars,) as well as a skilled dressmaker/tailor and milliner.
Now, I have found pepakura as well...
I'm just an all around fan, who is eager to find like minded friends :) I'm new to props, but as far as fabric costumes goes, there's nothing I can't make.

Hi,I'm very new to the forum, and somewhat new to costuming. My dad recommended this forum to me, as he is a long time costumer. I'll try to lurk more, as the rules suggest, and stay quiet for now. My favorite costume I have right now is my ODST from Halo, I hope to do a League of Legends costume soon. Here are some pictures of my ODST and Sandtrooper:

Hello. I stumbled across this site while researching how to make and modify items to create a Marty McFly/Marty Jr. 2015 costume for Halloween this year. I enjoyed reading the threads as a guest for a while and decided to go ahead and create a profile since the community seemed like a blast to be a part of! Now that my Mcfly 2015 costume is done I'm looking forward to starting my next huge project which will be a Ghostbusters complete outfit with functioning Proton Pack and Trap! I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hello everyone my name is Paul Spedersen, and i am Texas, USA. I am huge fan of Marvell and Comic Con movies and love to watch Sci-Fi movies as well. Em also inspired from the style statement of the celebrities which they used to wear in the films, and that is one of the main reasons of joining this forum.
