Hello! My name is Vítor, I'm from Brazil, and a big fan of Harry Potter series. In 2010 I start making paper props. First, the Marauder's Map, watching the movies over and over, I was able to draw the whole map by hand. In this year (2014), I was able to make the Hogwarts letter, and almost 36 pages of the Daily Prophet. I will be happy to share the results with all of you who still love the series, and want to keep the magic alive.
Thanks!

Hey everyone. I just finished my first full year of cosplay. My main interest in cosplay started off with Deadpool and I also expanded into Bob, Agent of Hydra. Both were relatively cheap cosplays involving bodysuits, Under Armour, props, a little bit of EVA foam, etc.

As I go into 2015 I'm looking to step up my cosplay game and I have two big cosplays planned; Future Foundation Spider-Man, and Master Chief (I'll probably join the 405th as well.) I should also mention that I am an amateur bodybuilder, so I hope to make the FF Spider-Man cosplay particularly impressive.

Looking forward to interacting with the immense talent on here.

My cosplay page is on my profile.

Re: introduction Newbie to RPF

Another Aussie here. I love this site, hope it helps you find what you need. It's a damn good place to learn.

Hello, one and all.

I go by gveest and I am new to prop building other than Halloween props. My goal right now is to have a NCR veteran ranger completed by GenCon 2015.
My son recommended this site to me and I'm looking forward to learning and sharing.

Hello everyone! you can call me squibs, squiby, nick, I am not fussy with my handle ha ha

I have always been interested in props and I have recently started to get really interested in making my own costumes and attending cons. I come from a background of 3D art and I use that to help me with 3D printing, which I could go on about forever, but all of this stuff really fascinates me. I really look forward to getting to know people on here and learn a whole lot.

thanks for having me,
Squibs

Hello everyone, after a couple of days of lurking hard i've decided to register (even if i'm a total rp/rc noob). Keep up the good work, you're really inspiring!

Hey all, long time lurker and decided to register. Hopefully I can get some input for my Iron Man build that I'm working on for Avengers 2 premiere. Also, you guys are awesome. :D

Decided to join up after coming across the site a few times.
I have some plans and visions of my own with which hopefully I'll get to a point where I can share here.
Anyway, this place looks incredible, the skill is mind-blowing.

Hello guys im ajingpogi from philippines, im kinda new in creating props and costume and i am a ironman fanatic. Hope we all get along and help each other building our costumes here and share knowledges for the other beginners.. Like me. Ill be posting some of my works here later on.. Have a great day everyone and lets continue building stuffs :) peace all.

Hi,
been lurking for way to long so thought it was time to join in. I have a passion for making costumes and with the help of my OCD and eye for detail I thrive to make my costumes as accurate as I possibly can. A couple of my favourite pieces I put together were the Bane pants and jacket.

Reading through posts there were a good few members that purchased off me.
Moving on to other projects at the moment and waiting for more photos to come through before I start.

Really looking forward to actually having conversations with the many talented members on here.

Hiya AMO here. I've joined on the recommendation of my friend Andy, who made an awesome costume for the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters, and who has also made some fantastic Judge Dredd stuff. I've been a star trek fan for years and have always wanted a B'Etor costume http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/B'Etor I have never made any replicas or done anything like this before. I am a complete novice. But it will be my 20th wedding anniversary in 2016 and hubby is a trekkie too (we do the bOrgCast podcast together) so I figured I have 18 months or so to learn how to put the costume together so I can wear it to attend the London star trek convention near to our anniversary (I wore my bought TNG uniform last time and had my photo taken with Sir Patrick Stewart).

A shop bought uniform is OK, but for B'Etor I need my costume tailored as it is tight, especially round the cleavage, so a generic design from a shop or online wouldn't look good. So if I want to go as B'Etor I need to learn how to make my own costume.

If any of you have any tips or ideas on how to get an utter novice started they would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone,
I found this website by accident while looking for molding tutorials, But I've found so much more inspiration. Such talented people! I'm impressed by all your creations.
Glad to be here, I hope I can contribute some inspiration to this forum!

Hello there!

I found this site while doing some prop research and I am so stoked it exists! I used to collect and paint Friday the 13th hockey masks and collect other horror memorabilia up until about 5 or 6 years ago. I recently decided I would like to get involved in something along those lines again but perhaps a little less gloomy and spooky.

After talking with my wife I've decided to pursue a Rocketeer costume! I came to this conclusion after my wife and I decided to get both our English Bull Terriers certified as service dogs so that we can take them to children hospitals and senior living centers. Every Halloween the children's hosptial does a costume walk where adults can visit sick children in costume and bring them candy. What could be cooler than the Rocketeer bringing you a king size candy bar with his adorable rocket dog in tow?

Anyway, excited to be a part of this and I hope to contribute and make new friendships. Thanks!

Hey there RPF!
- My name is Bobby Mac and I found this website through some of my friends in the 501st Legion. Thanks for the add, looking forward to checking out the forum and meeting some new people.
- I'm the Managing Partner and Promotions Director of a comic-con in Boca Raton FL called Geek Fest Florida. I am also an owner of the PlanetPlatypus.com Network entertainment website, as well as the Founder and Editor of NerdNewsNetwork.com

I am a voiceover artist, Dj, and event host for several companies, but my first passion will always be comics and comic related culture.

I'm new to the forum, but looking forward to networking with some new people in the costume, prop, cosplay, and convention scene.

(I also love cake and eat red meat, but not necessarily together - so there's that then.)

Hi,

I'm Crasis, here hoping I can learn a few things. I've bought a few items such as Sith Holocrons and eventually i'd like to have a display area in my house with a host of "items of power". I know nothing about making anything so if there are any introduction to making stuff threads please point me to them.

Hello Everybody been looking here for a while. I am on the lair Alot and want to expand my prop building skills i will be posting some stuff in the future as i get it done.

Hello to everyone,

I am glad to be here in this beautiful web-site which I find very inspiring and exciting.
I didn't know about the existence of such an interesting place until last year, when I was searching the net for the various Kurgan broadsword versions and by accident came across an RPF web-page which I simply loved. Today, more than one year later, I finally decided to personally take part to this world.
I am mainly interested in HighLander and Blade Runner topics, even though am open to virtually everything which is beautiful.
It is for me a pleasure to know such talented people who practically realise what until now I considered dreams.

Antonio

Hi, my name's Tim. I found this site while doing a search for scratch built models and hope that I can one day contribute some pretty great stuff here. One step at a time first though right? :)
