Hey everyone!

I go by CuriousClock on the majority of social websites, and I'm a cosplayer in Arizona!
I've been cosplaying for four years; I began with the simple store-bought costumes but made my own weapons out of foam and all that(and lemme tell ya, I look back at those props now and shudder. SO BAD). I've improved upon all of my cosplay skills since then and I now sew all of my costumes and build my own armor and weapons. I looove making weapons for my costumes, especially large props. I stick with cheap materials because, as a student, I don't have the money for the best that is offered. I usually work with EVA foam, worbla, etc.
I've recently cosplayed Aquawoman, Poison Ivy, Jinx from LoL, Marceline, etc. I'm currently working on Daenerys, Elise from AC:U, and Gamora from GOTG.

I am SO excited to see everyone's work and learn a lot from this community :)

Hi there!

My name is Chris and I live in Germany.
I am quite new in this section, so I hope we'll have a good time here :D
I just have finished my first couple of Projects, mostly costumes for Mortal Kombat. I am really looking forward to be able to do some more major projects.
Haven't cosplayed anyone yet, so maybe someone will help me doing my first one ;)
Thats it for now, pics follow for sure!

Cheers

Hello

Many of my friends call me Proto, or just Mike

I have been a member of Project Dalek's Virtual Builders forum for a number of years now. I am also a Machinist, CNC Setup/Programmer, and CAD Designer.

Even though my builds may not be tangible (at the moment) I am hoping that will change in the near future. My current builds I am try to design items that can be made, focusing on assembly and fastening of the various components.

Here is one of my Babies...

Hello,

I am new here and kinda still a novice in making cosplays but more in the Custom Freestyle region than mimic or duplication of props. Most of my cosplay's are renditions or modernization of characters such as my Mercenary Deadpool El Diablo. (I'll post him later)

I decided to join to broaden my horizon in the prop making and techniques used to make fantastic works and to hopefully be able to turn my little hobby into a business.

My preferred material is EVA foam mats and Plexiglass, fun material and great for making custom armor.

come on over if you want to check out something different but the same.

Thank you.

Hi,
Well where to start? I'm in Scotland and my name is Neil. I specialise in making things like ear moulds (its my real job) I have a lab and we cold form and 3d print now. I started off making Space 1999 props and then Blakes 7 (anyone remember that??) I like the group , some very clever people on here.
I'IMG_2945.jpgm not one of them.......

Hi all! I was browsing the web and ran into pictures of a Batman costume that looked very impressive. When I opened the page, I found the RPF and joined up. I've never done cosplay and really had no clue as how to make the wonderful costumes I've seen on this site. This Halloween I did my first costume for my 12 year old son, who wanted to be the Arkham City Robin. After alot of sweat, cursing and learning that a glue gun is simply Napalm in disguise, I completed the project the day before Halloween! I was pretty impressed with the outcome and will be posting it when I figure out how to do it. Thanks to so many of you that had no idea of the inspiration and instruction you gave me to make my kid so happy!

Thanks again!
Rich

Hi Everyone,

I'm a cosplayer from CT. I've lurked for a while and finally decided to make an account. I found the RPF when I decided I wanted a Captain America shield. That morphed in to my own flavor of American Dream. Recently, I finished an animatronic book from Hocus Pocus for Halloween and am working on an arduino powered Mjolnir :)

Thanks,
LilyRogers

Hey there,

My name is Dustin. I have been a member on Brotherhood of the Bat for a few years now, though I many look and read as there are some very talented people there. I recently came across this forum while helping a buddy of mine with his Arsenal Suit. He was in need of some calf holsters for his escrima sticks and there was a pick he found here that helped me create Mark I for him. Nevertheless, I began searching for ways to improve my TDK suit and now it looks like I am here to say.

To tell you more about myself... I am avid DIYer and tinkerer. I enjoy creating things and helping people with whatever it may be. I am a Detective at my local police department by trade and have been in law enforcement for a little over 4 years now. I have had a UD Replicas TDK suit since 2010. It started as a motorcycle suit and halloween costume but my department and the public enjoyed it so much that I began doing PR events with our department and charity events, which led to being hired for birthday parties. This ultimately led to my first Comic Con experience earlier this year, as I didn't know we had any locally until now. Ultimately, I just enjoy helping people!

To give you some info on my suit. I have a TDK UD Replicas suit, less their boots and belt. (didn't have the funds at the time). My cape is made by myself from microfiber shower curtains from Wal-Mart, but I am hoping to upgrade to coofunkcurly's hero cape if he still has any left. My cowl is from GCFX but I plan to switch that to coofunkcurly's cowl and under hood as well. My boots are Gotham 100's from Amazon but plan to order UD Replicas. My belt is a urthane belt with magnets that I purchased from eBay, though I don't remember the maker and apparently eBay doesn't go back to when I purchased it. I have modded the belt slightly, adding solid straps to the back an adding a buckle between two links in the front. I also made functional utility pouches using kydex. They came out ok and serve their current purpose. I am, however, working on functional metal pouches as we speak and will share as get further along.

Here are a few pics for your enjoyment or criticism lol.

Here are the kydex utility pouches I built: (nothing fancy but functional nevertheless lol)

Thanks for having me and if you have taken the time to read this, thank you! I am always open to suggestions and hope that I may be in some way helpful to you guys here at RPF!

Hi all,

I am a Senior Exhibit Developer from Cardiff. I have designed and manufactured hands on, interactive Science Exhibits for a leading Science Centre for nearly ten years. I love Film, gaming, Star Wars and tons of other geeky stuff.

I have greatly admired some of the wonderful things, you incredibly talented people build in the Prop and Cosplay community. I so wish I had become part of this inspiring community sooner in life. It all started with my boy saying to me "Dad, you build toys at work. So how come you have never built me a toy?" I replied "What toy would you like me to make?" and he said "A Lightsaber!" Eight Lightsabers later, various movie replica weapons, and a few armour projects ...I LOVE IT!

I find prop building so addictive. And now that I have started, I can't stop! For every prop I begin work on, I think of ten more that I want to do. I look forward to sharing some of my work here, and giving something back to a community that has given me so much.

Hello everyone! I'm Alex, the president of the Battlestar Galactica Italian Club and captain of the USSArecibo. Our club has been active since 2006, and we made some prop of the series Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. I am very happy to be here with you and to share our experiences with you.

Heyas! The name is Skip.
Long time off n on lurker, and first time making stuff'er..a friend invited me to go to a comic-con that going on in January and rather than sitting on my laurels, I finally decided it's time to get serious rather than sitting on the sidelines any more..my only problem is I'm not a small guy so finding a proper costume to make is a chore.
I work as a machinist, and also do some cad drawing in Solidworks and Mastercam as part of my job.
Happy to be part of the group and can't wait to learn more about making various armors and other fun stuff :)

Hi! My name is Ethan. Been wanting to join the forums for quite some time but never really had anything to contribute until now. I am in the process of making a steel dagger from Skryim so I'll be posting that in the near future. Unfortunately I have an extremely busy life so my projects and posts of such will be somewhat erratic. But I look forward to learning from everyone and improving my skills and becoming a small part of the prop making community!
