Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello all

My name is Christian, I'm from Edinburgh and a music student in Leeds. Although I study music, I've made a few amateur costumes for halloween like Batman and Ezio etc over the years as a hobby on the side. What got me interested in this forum was a remake of an Iron Man suit I made years ago. Since there were so many issues with it, I decided to remake the mark 6 armor out of cardboard without using pepakura or templates, but images for reference. All the best stuff and really detailed pictures were on this page and I have to say, it's all petty damn impressive! Glad to be here, I'd love some broken down images of mk 6 iron man legs. That's all I have to finish before painting.

Thanks a lot people, keep blowing my mind!

Hi Carbon Based Lifeforms!

I to have to admit I am a bit of a lurker. However I have made Doctor Who costumes and props for 20 years and figured it was about time I try to get in the habit of sharing. Some of you may recognize me from my K-9 build in the prop builders forum. I am not good about talking about myself.

Hey Everyone,

I found this site by searching for Iron Man costumes, and I have to say this site is awesome some of the members costumes are unbelievable. I mainly would like to build an Iron Man costume as close to the film version as possible. I've checked out Darkside501st's Mk7 post and it is fantastic, I've downloaded the files and am in the process of cutting it out, I don't think I can offer much to this forum as it seems there are a lot more experienced people here than me, but I will do what I can to help!

Cheers

My name is Jordan Davis, I'm 29 years old and a lifelong film and video-game addict. I've never had the space or time to start collecting or making my own props, but it was one of those things I've always wanted to do so I figured with my 30th approaching in October it was time to start. I own a few small props from the Red Dragon Hannibal film and two BTTF prop replicas, nothing by comparison of some of the AMAZING work I've seen on here, but it's a start. I'm also a HUGE Tomahawk enthusiast and am looking to add a few replicas of hawks from movies and games to my collection soon. I may not know much, but I look forward to learning from the body of work here and starting to make my own stuff very soon.

Thank you for letting me join the RPF. =)

Howdy all. I'm from the Atlanta, GA area. Lifelong nerd, StarWars fan, and video game addict. I've joined here to learn tips and tricks of the costume making trade. Hoping to start work on a Mandalorian soon as well as several other projects. I've looking into using EVA foam, sintra, and worbla for most of projects. Can't wait to see what I can come up with by gleaning knowledge from you guys. :)

G’eve everyone,
I know I should have done this earlier, but here it goes…
I’m Jonathan, and I’m a digital/gaming junkie. My first computer was a Commodore Vic -20, followed by an IBM 16 mhz. I’ve been building computers since 75 mhz systems were high speed/low drag.
I don’t play as much as I use to, so most of the games I’m addicted to are old such as all of the Ultima games (including Online version), Dungeon Siege (got bored and started making my own maps), Ever Crack (Quest), and finaly walked away from WoW over a year ago (3-4 hours of doing daily’s is no fun)
As far as 3D graphics goes, Auto Cad 11 (Dos) threw 2010, and some of the current online version for practice getting into 3D printing.
I currently own and off and on use Daz Studio Pro, Hexagon Pro, Carrara Pro, Z-Brush, Bryce, and FaceGen from S.I.
Pepakura Designer and Metasequoia 4 are the most recent programs I’ve been playing with since signing up with RPF.

I often travel a lot for work, and when I am home I spent most of my time with family. I don’t have a lot of time to build unfortunately.

My current projects are UAR-1, Glitter boy, Deathwing (Human form), Headless Horseman, and Ironman Mk 39 (preparing for 3D printing)
A bit over kill for a first costume, but gotta start somewhere…

Hello, My Name is Daniel, I am a costumer/prop maker. While I'd love to say I am an expert I am more of a Novice, I have made a few different costumes and props, I have modded Nerf blasters, I do prostetics, and a variety of other things. I guess I am alittle good at alot of things.

I would love o do more autocad, blueprinting etc, I am currently trying to join a makersspace to access to alot of equipment, which should be fun. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.

Hi my name is Angela and I am from Indiana. My primary focus is with anything Star Wars. I follow the RPF on facebook and figured it was time to come to the boards to see how things was built. I currently have a generic Jedi 90% complete and my main project is a generic female wookiee I am about half way finished with. I have made a few small items before but nothing so complex as what I am currently working on so love to see what I might be able to incorporate to help me along the way.

Hi my name is Tim and i am from germany.
i like the props from the Indiana jones movies an Angels and Demons, the are a lot more good movie props, but i have not enough space to write all =o)
at the moment i have a smoll collection of props but i hope i get piece after piece to complete my collection.

I'm really curious what I so everything is here and what others have for great ideas and implementations

Hello,

I was referred here, when I was doing research on a test build a while back. I have found this site to be a GREAT source of information.

I am an avid paper modeler who is into SCI-FI.
I even do beta test building for a couple of designers (on a regular basis).
I (mostly) like BSG, Buck Rogers, Star Trek, as well as many others.
I will be posting some of my work very soon.

Hey there,

Name is Mark. Was just looking on Google for an SPD cadet uniform and it led me here. So far seems pretty cool. Really into power Rangers and stuff related to it.
