Hey everyone, how are we all??

Glad i could make it on to these boards as im an avid costumer already and want to start expanding from Star Wars. Right now im looking at doing some comic characters but am very interested in doing a Judge costume from the new Dredd 3D movie!

I hope to hear from you all soon. I love Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Back to the Future, anime, Supernatural and a LOT of other things! :popcorn

Hello all,

I have been coming to these boards more frequently the past month and I noticed I haven't even introduced myself. Shame on me :behave so here goes. My name is Danny I'm 27 years old and I live in the Netherlands with my girlfriend and my son.

I came across this awesome board when I was buying my first prop, A Darth vader helmet of the rubies kind. Why the rubies you ask? Well because I knew forums like these existed and I wanted to modify the helmet so I can say "I made it look like this" (hoping it will turn out beautiful) :D

So I started a thread asking for advice, and went forth with the buy. the helmet is now standing proudly in our bedroom. Here are some pics of the helmet: Post #10
As you can see the helmet was already modified a bit and I planned to do more mods on the helmet but than I started reading all the other threads on here...

this lead to the following: I learned about the awesome craft of pepakura and got sidetracked, majorly!:facepalm I now want to create a Master Chief helmet using pepakura, resin, bondo and such.

I'm looking for some good files now and if I've build up the confidence to begin I will make a build thread so you guys can follow my steps and comment on them accordingly.

So here's for hoping I'm any good at pepakura and bondo and deliver a good helmet.

I'm Marvin! I'm 19 years old and from cologne Germany

I'm totally new to all the prop stuff but got here because I started to build my very own iron man mark 6 for karneval next February.

As you may expect now I'm totally into the whole iron man stuff!

I really hope to find some help and of course some inspiration here (already found some ;) ) and some ideas for my next project ;)

Hello all. My name is Colin. I'm from South Carolina and I stumbled upon this site awhile ago. I have always been interested in cosplay and costume armor building. I recently have become more serious about it and would like to start making my own costumes for cons and halloween with the help of the fine folks here. Everything I've seen on here is amazing I only hope my efforts meet the quality I've seen so far.:confused

Names Kyle, found this site last month looking for info on building tony Stark's arc reactor and hit the proverbial gold mine! And after hearing about rave review of Adam Savage on Tested I signed right up. This site is awesome and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon/ever.

Hello everyone. My name is Mic and I'm from Hawaii. Found this site a couple months back and have been revisiting it every since so I decided it was time to become a member.

I enjoy prop making as a hobby but have not be able to invest much time or money into it until recently. I'm really excited to start some more complicated projects and can't wait to find new techniques and information to use.

Hey everyone. My name is Jason. I was just browsing iron man pep. files and came across this forum. Absolutely love it so far. I am a noob when it comes to pep. files, but its so addicitng now I can't stop. I'm on my 3rd day with over 20 hours of work done. haha being unemployed is so nice for the week it has lasted. Now I go back to work, can't wait to continue on with costume making and find out more techniques and ways of building!! cheers

Hi folks my name is wayne and i live in manchester uk i am interested in buyin a print of the amazing spiderman costume and would love your input and help there are some great costumes and being a spidey fan would love to have a go at re creating one myself with a little help from you people any advice or info will be greatfuly recieved thanks

I've been watching threads on here for a long long time and I could have swore I signed up before but in either case it's definitely official now.

I've done a little bit of costume making along with creating props here and there. I had a dream growing up to want to be a visual effects artist for ILM doing miniature model building as I spent alot of time as a kid turning model airplanes into super accurate reproductions from kits.

I'm currently working on a chainsaw for my Ash from Army of Darkness and a chainsaw for my girlfriend to be Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw. Glad to be here!

I've always been big into Halloween and making costumes. Ran across this forum looking for some ideas and figured it would be a good place to share some of my own work.

Hello all. I'm visiting from over at The BOTB. I've lurked quite a bit, so I thought it was about time to peek out and introduce myself. Primarily, I'm big into the Batman aspect of costuming and prop building, but appreciate most all costuming and props. Your crew here has tremendous talent, and it's always a pleasure to look around in awe. Certainly keeps me humble with my endeavors. I work a lot with found objects for a lot of my props, and have recently gotten back into resin casting and sculpting a bit. Currently I'm hip deep in doing a Batman costume, but often take breaks to work on more relaxing, less meticulous, projects.

Great to be here.

Hi, My name is Kevin "Nivek" Murphy, just recently started my own costume & Prop company called Wolfram Creative LLC, out of Central Florida. I am a lifelong self taught artist with a wide variety of skills, and have worked in the Scenic Industry and have dabbled in Special effects make-up and latex mask making since graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in the mid-90's. If any of you are from the Florida area, I was head mold making & casting technician at Reynolds Advanced Materials in Orlando for 6 years, so we may have crossed paths or talked on the phone.

I did work with Selman Marcovic at Gotham City FX most of this past year on several of his custom costumes, and have moved on to do my own stuff. I am eager to showcase my talents here, and I can also answer any questions in regards to many materials from latex, urethanes, resins, & silicones from my work at Reynolds. So, all in all, hello and lets talk making cool stuff!
