Hi all,

I just discovered this site via a tested.com video linked on Reddit.

I had no idea a place like this existed!

I've been wanting to try my hand at making a couple movie prop replica's for a few years now, with a Flux Capacitor at the very top of my list. So, to find a place of like minds is fantastically awesome.

Hey guys, how's it going! I've been making short films since I was in high school. I remember buying a bullwhip (much to my mother's chagrin) so I could shoot Indiana Jones style scenes!

I'm a writer (currently working in animation) but I have a huge love and respect for live-action and prop making, costume design, and anything cinematic and cool. I plan to direct a live action film in the future, so I'm here to learn.

Excited to see all the awesome stuff that the members here have been working on, and nice to meet you all.

Herro. I've lurked on the threads a while, trying to learn from someone else' experience and all. I've done a few custom Nerf guns, some haphazard cosplay gear, and a weighted companion cube, but lately I've wanted to start REALLY modding.

Hello everyone! I was referred to this site from a friend, im currently a member of the 501st, and been prop and costume building for over 15 years. Because of this i have created my own business in prop building. I produce work all over the U.S. building themed environments and custom made props. I have worked for some major companies such as Dow Chemicals, Apple, Snapple corporation, Fee Hedrick entertainment group, and the list goes on. Happy to be here, and im sure i can learn alot from this group!

My Name is Andreas James Barry,
I was born in England and moved to Australia when I was 3 years old, I am 19 now and still have my accent.
I am a very enthusiastic 3D modeler on the computer and specialise in robots and machines, though I am becoming better at organic modelling. I am currently making two suits of armour. One being the mark 6 Iron Man armour from the second and avengers movies. The second being Dr Victor Von Doom's armour from the comics. I joined this site to show others what I am doing and to get feed back on my projects.

Hi, I heard about this site through SpringwoodSlasher.com and The Freddy Glove Ninja Clan on Facebook. I have seen some really nice pieces posted here and am glad to now be a member. My main preference towards collecting in terms of props leans towards anything Jason Voorhees related. I appreciate all the other horror icons as well and am working my best to build a screen accurate collection of props that include busts, wearable masks and Freddy gloves. I just posted a new thread in the Sculpture and Makeup section. The post is the "Camp Stalker" Jason bust by JC Wylde. Please be sure to check it out and provide feedback. I joined this forum a while ago, to find free harry potter paper props for the birthday present of my best friend. I also made a wand for her and gave her a watch because she turned 17(and some more stuff of course). I got inspired by some great artist here on rpf and now I'm going to make an assassin/dragonrider costume for my little sister's birthday. Well, I'm actually already making it, half way! If anyone of you knows how to make a costume more rebel-like, then please tell me XD

Hey guys, I found out about this site from watching a youtube video with Adam savage. He showed his Bourne Identity props and replicas and mentioned this site several times. I've already looked at a bunch of stuff here and found some great references for props.

Hey everyone,

My name is Keith. I'm a 19 year old student currently taking my degree in Games Programming.

I tinker with electronics and micro-controllers, build and rebuild PCs, work as a motorcycle mechanic in my holidays, and have a general interest in making things, whether they be scale model engines, figurines, movie, tv or video game props, or anything else that I think would look cool. I often sketch out random ideas on how something might look or how it would work, but thats my inner (terrible) artist/designer coming out.

Previous projects I have completed are:

- A table themed upon the "X" in the Xbox 360 logo (GCSE design)
- An arcade machine loosely based around the cocktail cabinet, but with many design problems that i now realise. This was an A level design project that was fully functional (until the onboard soundcard failed)
- A pepakura Halo 3 Assault rifle

In the future I hope to make some more projects, whether they be props or anything else interesting, but currently I am limited because of my (lack of) tooling. In the mean-time, I'll be admiring projects, compiling information for a prop or something, and maybe chip in my ten-pence if I can help.

Now that I have bored you to tears, onto some props and other cool stuff.

Hello RPF...

My name is Welby, I am a 41 year young Canadian that has been just browsing for now.

I am a HUGE DC fan... Superman especially. And play alot of DCU Online

I have a couple of costumes under my belt so far and I do dabble in the special effects of make my own prosthetics. I do have ambitions to create some more but I am limited to what I can wear due to a injury i suffered that makes me sensitive to light.

I am starting to make a Green Lantern Stel Costume and will post pics on my progress. Hopefully I can get some feedback aswell.

I look forward to making some new friends here and learn other ways to build a costume.

Well I'm Matt, a 34 year old life long geek, father of an awesome adorable girl, and married to a lovely woman who for sme reason keeps sticking around. My wife claims that I have a new obsession every other week, I like to think of it as expanding my skill sets. :lol

I don't have anything currently built, I am working on several projects currently as I find the right pieces for them. I hope to have some awesome projects ready to be shown off for you all soon.

Hey everyone! My name is Viktoria and I'm from Germany. I study physics in Heidelberg and a few weeks ago, a friend of me suggested to build an Iron Man suit. So I build a mrk vii, the helmet is almost finished and at the moment I work on the back.
Maybe I can show some pics of the progress some time.
