Hey people!

I'm Dave, from the UK, recently found this place while Googling for leatherworking stuff. I've always loved making things, and for many years made foam & latex weapons for LARP games. I've since moved into leatherwork and have been working on learning the craft for the last 18 months or so.

Looking forward to getting to know you all & marvelling at some of the incredible work on here.

hi im new to the site and not great at typing or computers but great with my hands big gears fan and iron man is my thing thats how i found this site it comes up everytime you search for iron man armour so anyone have pics wanna help many thanks

So, Yeah, I'm new here...
I like designing new things and sewing old things. Started by just making little alterations to store bought costumes, recently moved onto sewing my own. I don't know much about the technical aspects of everything, and mostly everything I do is for funs.

Unfortunately most of what I get a kick out of never makes it past the design stage...$$ and Time are not on my side.

I love me some Star Wars, and Mortal Kombat...I actually found this site while searching for some guidance on how to make a mask of Noob Saibot...

I've been around the forum for some time but only through my Hubby, Shellhead. I still consider myself a fledgling costumer but decided to throw myself in to the mix in the hopes of learning from you along with the excitement of even meeting a few

I'm the mother of a wonderful 17 month old and I have a feeling this hobby (might) be in his interest too:lol

Costuming was introduced to me 3 years ago and I love every bit of it. To sign on as a member (to any site) is a first for me. My husband loves the RPF so, I figured, why the heck not ?

Glad to be here, my name is Sean.

My main interest is in Deadmau5 Heads, and doing some Google searching has brought me here. I am quite a perfectionist and am currently on my 3rd mau5 head. Doing the white head with oink eyes right now. But after this, I'm thinking about the chrome head. So I will be browsing around reading an posting, and hopefully Ill post the build of the chrome head, and round 4 should be real good . Pm me whenever I should get back, I am an insane Mau5 fan......no really, a lot. Anyway, thanks

Hello from France !
Time to register after read (and now I've to read more). I'm first an huge Blade Runner Fan. I start to collect movie related, now I've a blaster replica but need to find or build more. i'm interested by Alien too. As my main passion is photography, I like to take prop pictures too. Here in france we've a Comicon, not so big than the US but bigger each years.
My next goal is to find/build a scifi spacesuit, so I start to find references

Hello everyone!

I'm Zack, or how most know me online as LowlifeXssassin. Finally got the nerve to make an account. I've been a long time lurker and I'm a huge art junky who has been painting, drawing, sculpting, and designing things for as long as I can remember. I got into costuming/replica prop making by my mother who made amazing costumes for me as a kid from scratch (Even today I still ask for her help at times haha) and I'm hoping to share my recent outfits/designs for DragonCon coming up or help others who need anything.

So far the costumes I have close to being ready are:
Sub-Zero
Dr. Doom
Sheik
Tinkerbell

More stuff is in the works but I'm trying not to overwhelm myself so I can focus on getting those costumes done. Glad to be a part of the community here

hi, passionate, artistic people! it's upsetting that i didn't find this place sooner. from now on, this will be my headquarters for Halloween costume inspiration and tutelage. you guys are awesome!
i came here because i've been doing a lot of research on how to create a great Alien Nostromo crew costume. i was blown away with the mega popular Alien / Nostromo uniforms thread and its incredible wealth of knowledge and enthusiastic fans. now i'm freaking out about not getting my costume right!
Halloween is my favorite holiday, and i love creating my costumes. usually, people compliment my efforts and attention to detail, but this place puts me to shame.

The most recent thing I made was the "Robot Cooker" from Wallace & Gromit's "A Grand Day Out". It's mostly oven-fired modelling clay and the like; My daughter loves it :love

Hi! I've recently waded into the world of prop collecting after many years of collecting swords, rare books, and original comic art. Some of my favorite movies are Braveheart, Conan, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings (all 3), and Terminator. I joined the RPF to learn more about collecting original screen-used props, including how to take care of them, how to authenticate, and where to find reputable dealers. Not only do I hope to learn from the members here, but I also hope I can contribute to some extent, due to my many years of collecting plus the fact that my professional career is closely related to the film and broadcast industry.

Realized I haven't posted a self-intro yet, so here it is!

My name's Crimson, and I'm a cosplayer from Singapore. ^_^ I run a cosplay blog together with my girlfriend called The Neo Tokyo Project, and in addition to sharing how we make our own costumes and props, we also cover conventions and pop-culture happenings in Singapore.

I've been in cosplay for slightly longer than 10 years now, though I've only really started crafting my own armor in the past 2 years.

My cosplay is primarily from Blizzard titles, since I'm a very big gamer and I like to cosplay the characters I play. XD

Hello!

I'm a graphic designer by trade, and had considered joining the forum before, but once you guys showed up in three different google searches I did in a week, I took it as a sign and here I am.

Tracking the processes of the props is really cool, and I also like paper replicas and documents which I emulate sometimes in my work, and I'm happy to assist people with that. I'm pretty useless with my hands so haven't made anything too big yet, but I look forward to you guys giving me some inspiration.
