Hello,

My name is Terry. I have wanted to create a replica Iron Man Suit since I first saw the movie. I just recently (accidently) discovered pepakura and I am trying to learn all about it. I want to start by making a helmet and if I am happy with my work and time permits I would like to build myself a suit. I am very new to this whole forum thing and don’t know much about any of this really. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have noticed already there are a lot of talented and nice individuals on here. I look forward to chatting with you all in the near future.

I have been making knives for years now, but since I built a hybrid CNC machine e couple of years back I want to make different things. I gave done many signs and a few models on my CNC but now I want to build Props.

I'm from Toronto, ON, been costuming for many years but mainly sewing, I am a costume design student hoping to go into theatre production at Ryerson University when I'm done college.

Hello! I'm Jen and I've been collecting toy "props" and making costumes since I was a kid. My husband and I are from Florida and were the "nerds" of our small town growing up. I love Star Trek and Doctor Who with all my heart.

Hi everyone, my name is Gabe.

I'm new to the RPF, but I've been a member of the 405th for many years where my specialty has been making props of guns from Halo out of wood, but recently I've also been really getting into Fallout 3.
I guess you could say I came here hoping to expand both the scope of my projects and my audience. There's a ton of really cool props on here that I've seen already and so the bar for my creativity has been raised, and I accept your challenge!

I'm looking forward to starting new projects here, and I hope you'll all look forward to seeing them.

Hey everyone, long time listener first time caller. I've been on here for a little over a year but mostly just lurking and seeing all the amazing work the members here have been doing.

My collection includes Doctor Who Sonic Screwdrivers, Star Trek weapons of all sorts, Stargate props, LOTR swords and armors and many other nerdy Sci-fi/Fantasy items. I've just started working my way into costuming and am in the process of several projects including my pepakura Halo armor, my 4th Doctor's costume and a scratch build 12th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver & costume as well.

Hi all,

I'm Robbo, I live on the east coast of Australia. I was inspired by volpin's portal gun and laser rifle builds on his site and decided some similar items would look good in the 'man room'. I started working on those to mixed results. I also then decided I would like to make an Altair costume for Halloween next year and started work on that. I was recently introduced to this forum and pep from a friend working on halo and iron man masks. Pep has helped me get back to the portal gun and I thought I may as well try an iron man helmet while I was at it.

I'm afraid I suffer from a bit of an addictive personality. So I generally I will do a bunch of hours on one project, then get distracted with another for a while etc...

Hello folks,

Having always been interested in movie props/memorabilia, especially the guns - a friend directed me here and recommended I join up. It looks like a nice friendly forum, with a huge amount of talent and dediction.

Coming from a modelmaking background I have made a few scratch built guns in my time, although these days most of my money gets thrown at modified airsoft replicas.

I am currently working on the laser from The Terminators ".45 Longslide" for my metal replica.
