Hello!
I'm Matt. I'm a photographer, film maker, and pre medicine student. I've always loved making movies and the costumes are always my favorite part. I've referenced this website so much, I had to join! My big project now is to create/assemble a replica Man Of Steel costume, and in the presence of all these immensely talented artists to help me out I feel confident it can be done!

Hi, I'm a semi-professional photographer and part-time designer. I love taking photos of cosplayers and such. Up until now making myself a cosplay was only an ideas I toy with. But I'll like to try do some armors of my fav. characters (that happen to have armors, as a common feature).

Also I have this new house with my girlfriend and we'll love make some decorations; and what better that (for example) a Ocarina of Time Shield and Master Sword for the wall of the living room? Absolutely nothing.

So, looking on the web places I can ask question, get inspired and, in general, share toughs and chat with other ppl about the making of this costumes and props, I find this forum.

I hope my visit is welcome, and I find here some help here.

My big first project will be Hakumen from the Bazeblue games, and N7 Heavy Armor, from Mass Effects.

(Oh, and I live in the island of New Sparta, Venezuela).

I have never made my own props or replica anythings, but I sure do appreciate how much work others put into theirs. I love looking at the awesome stuff that the talented people here are able to put together and hope to someday make something of my own.

I have a severe interest in prop making but i never have anything worth showing to the public...But that will change once i finish my custom NCR Assault Ranger build. I would like directions on to where to post my WIP and would also like to make alot of friends on my stay at RPF. Hope to here from any and all!

good morning. im mac, and i found this site because a friend of mine posted it in one of his 'building with foam' tutorials, and i must say im very exited! i build props and gadgets for fun mostly with my brothers. together we have over 30 different costumes, from jedi, to batman, to evil dead ash,the doctor, all made by us. using anything from found props, and dollar store junk to make these things. they aren't perfect, but we don't aim for perfect, a little creative license makes things fun! i hope to learn a lot and hopefully show you people some tricks you may have forgotten or never knew, i doubt it, but you never know!

Been lurking around for a while now. Just started having an interest in costuming and props just about a few months ago. I started experimenting with foam builds recently. Loving all of the current builds floating around. Very inspirational!

Y'allo there, I'm Will.

I've always loved making things, so this hobby was a natural progression for me. It all started properly around 2 years ago when I scratch built a small Millennium Falcon out of cardboard and various household items; looking back on it now, it was pretty rubbish but that's what improving is all about.

Some projects I'm working on at the moment include:
-1:1 scale ASHPD
-Shadow Link's sword
-AMT/ERTL Star Destroyer
-TARDIS custom interior

hello my name is daniel ive been costuming for a about 3 years i made carboard mandalorian armour i have a stagate atlantis urban digital and woodland costume i also am putting together a star trek firstcontact style costume i like star trek stargate starwars and battlestar galactica

Hi, I'm Faea. I've been costuming since I was 14 and like to try a lot of different crafts to tie into my costumes. Several years ago I stopped costuming to care for my disabled daughter. Now she is getting old enough to start doing a little on her own. We're going to start with paper mache helmets Most of my costuming has been sewing, and i'm starting to step out into other crafts.

Hello! I was drawn to this community after seeing an awesome progress picture of an Equalist Glove from Legend of Korra. I've been making my own costumes for just over 10 years now, but I am relatively new to the world of prop making. I'm already very impressed by the talent in this community, and I am excited to learn what I can from the knowledgable people here. Pepakura has really caught my interest, so I think I'll start out with some of those projects!

Hi. My name is Mike. I've know about the site for a while but have only just got around to registering since the recent troubles

I've made a few attempts at prop making but really need to work on my neatness. I'm also a bit of a detail freak, which often bothers my fiancé when I tell her that this bit just isn't quite right and start all over again. I currently use a lot of pepakura as a base but would love to get into clay modelelling of large costumes and helmets and such

I found this forum through stealth's tutorial videos on youtube.

Been totally blown away by all of the work that you all put into your various projects.

Im a complete novice at prop building and am going to try my hand at making an iron man helmet first. If it turns out ok i may give the whole suit a go.

I am new to the site, I found the site when I was looking around about building a Tron suit but to be more exact Sam's suit...

I am pretty much new to the whole thing with customs but I am a Jack of all trades and also I am a major computer geek and Tron has always been one of my favorite movies growing up so I thought it would be cool to build my own suit...

Hi RPF,

I came across this site after Adam Savage mentioned it, when interviewed about some of his props, after looking around the bug bit me and now I'm starting a couple of projects for myself and my son.

Many years ago I used to make costumes and masks for a LARP group I help run, but not done anything foa a LOOONG time.

I was inspired by Crypto to start a Space Marine costume, (Just Peping the parts at atm) and my son has convinced me to help him build a foam Mk VII Iron Man suit :darnkids:facepalm.

When I have some photo's and can get around to posting, I'll start a thread tracking our progress.

I recently purchased some movie props from a person liquidating their stock and have joined this site in hopes of possibly shedding some light on what I've purchased. Greetings all. I'm a comics enthusiast, geek and Trekkie, as well as being a costume lover. I'm trying to get into making costumes myself, especially a good proper Spider-Man costume. (Having owned one of those Zentai ones, it left a bad taste in my mouth.)

So, I hope to enjoy my stay here, as I too am a massive fan of all the work here.
