re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello I'm new. As the Japanese say: Yoroshiku Onegaisemasu

I found this place through a nice man called Dan at Custom Creations that I got talking to at the Thought Bubble comic con in Leeds, England, back in November.

Just thinking about maybe taking a new career path in life and heard this is a good place to start.

Hello everyone,
I came across this site while searching for masks/helmets to purchase and was amazed at what can be hand built. I was impressed most of all by the pepakura that is put out by dungbeetle. I figured why not give it a try. Thanks for all the how to's

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello everyone,

I mainly frequent another forum, but I look around here every once in a while. Recently I've stopped by a little more often and I"m becoming more familar with the site. I have to say it's worth it because I've seen some amazing things here. I know I'm stating the obvious, but there are some really talented people on here. I mainly collect licensed Star Wars prop replicas, but I think when funds are available, I'm going to have to branch out, both to non-licensed and non-Star Wars...I think this place will make me broke! I look forward in becoming part of this community.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey there, you kids!
Found this forum while searching for pics of the abandoned Station 5 miniature from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
My Dad was a TV art director, and we'd always go see the Sci-Fi movies with the big-scale set design (Star Wars films, ALIEN, Blade Runner, etc.)
I've always been most interested in the more intricate props, though. A lot of times I'll get hooked on a Sci-Fi TV series mainly because of the excellent prop work.
I don't own any props myself, but I do have an authentic piece of wreckage from an SR-71 Blackbird!

Got it in '97 from a great shop in Burbank called The Nostalgic Aviator, which I'd browsed in for years before this, my first purchase. Went back just a couple months later... and the space was empty. Like it had never existed! Spooky, huh?

Hello people my name is John I'm from Buenos Aires Argentina, I'm happy to be a member of the RPF, greetings to all builders, designers and creators of fantastic things. Well I'm in my early stages of project ex Machina Briareos, my idea is to do 100% with the traditional method, Pepakura, resin, fiber, bondo, etc etc. "I also wanted some rubber eva" or foam

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello everyone.

A fairly new member here and I can't recall if I posted here originally when I started up or not, so thought I'd better just in case I hadn't.

My primary interests are in costumes, although I do occasionally dabble in props, etc. My costume interests include: Indiana Jones (primary), Sherlock Holmes, MASH, and in the progression of starting research on the Sheriff's costume in the The Walking Dead.

I am looking forward to, in this new year, working on visiting and contributing to this forum and am already impressed with it and its members.

Thanks for having me and I look forward to getting to know you.

Webley

Hello from Sweden

This site have been up alot around me. Some members over at The Import Forums (RIP) did talk alot about this forum, and it sounded good so i did drop by time to time to check it out.

The things people are doing here are amazing.

For some days ago a friend, that helps me getting US stuff and i think is a member here, told me again about the site so i did visit it. To be abel to see what the link was that he did send I had to register myself. WOOOOOO
The registration must have been one of the best things i have done.
If i haven register i wouldnt never know about the Tron ID Disc project or the X-men coin.

Im more of a figure/statue collector, pointing at horror movies. But have a few not scen accurate stuff also. Movies are a passion for me, and space is my worst enemy. Its alot of stuff I wanna buy but the space wont let me.

I have talked to two members already and both of them have been really kind and good communicators, and if the rest of the forum is like this Im sure this forum will be a returner for me.

Hello All fellow modelers, I'm Doug and hail in Ohio. I have been collecting and building since I was a small child. Still have them all in mint condition. Models from the early thirty's to present. Have been installing fiber optics and sound in all of them preparing them for computer control in display cases. several still in boxes waiting for assembly and painting. Put still on the prowl looking for the hard to find ones to add to the collection. also collecting movie props and weapons.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi there!

I have been registered for a while now, but never found the time to introduce myself. Well, here goes: I'm a chemist by day and tinkerer by night, I like to make stuff myself, preferrably things you can't get anywhere else. I'm teaching myself a bit of electronics, mainly lighting up stuff, and more recently I'm trying my luck with metal casting. This forum is just great, so many outstanding ideas and resourceful people, just amazing. Maybe I can contribute a little to it in the future.

Greetings from Bavaria!

Hi everyone! I'm a high school student who just watches too much TV :p

I initially joined because of an awesome discussion on the "Caf-Pow!" cup from NCIS... but I hope to expand my prop-repilica-ing adventures here. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming and I can't wait to be part of the RPF community!

Hello all! My name is Taryn and I am always interested in learning new things, finding new hobbies and expanding my range of interests. I have no experience in building props or costumes or anything like what can be found here, but I hope to change that. I'm excited to be here and look forward to what I find.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Greetings everyone! I've been lurking here for over a year now, and figured I should really get around to registering! My wife and I have been into costuming for around a decade now (she's actually got a degree in technical theatre, specializing in costumes, while I just like to build things!). This past year we attended the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, and went in costume for the first time. I went as Jayne Cobb, and she went as Blind Mag from Repo. My costume was pretty basic, as I threw it together in about a month (Hers was bang on accurate!). Anyway, the Calgary Con is coming up again, and being as Adam Baldwin is attending, I plan on really doing the Jayne costume some justice! I recently started construction on my very own Vera! Anyway, I'm looking forward to TRULY being a member of this community!
