Hi everyone,

I am a new member here at The RPF and I must say this is a fantastic site! I have been building and collecting lightsabers and Star Wars memorabilia since 2002. I do many conversions as well as the manufacturing of my own Crystal chassis for Graflex sabers. These are very close in similarities to Master Yoda's chassis on the FX-Sabers forums. I look forward to browsing through the vast amountof information that's included on this site.

I am Lee from Montana. I am a huge star wars fan and am looking to start designing a few of my own lids. I have done a lot of pep builds and tossed them when I moved( it was esier then seing them torn or crushed from the move). I am looking for a good program that is free to do some detailed 3d modeling. thanks

my name is gareth, aka klown, i am a huge fan of the band korn, i like customising things with their logo and designs.
i am a collector of music merch, HR Giger and autographs among other things.
i am just starting to build PVC light sabers, i have 90 percent completed a set of marius brood inspired red LED sabers.
and am about to start on a dual ended blacklight LED staff inspired by darth maul.

Hey guys, my name is Nathan and I've got a Bachelor's in Writing and Directing film. I've worked for several major companies such as Warren Miller Entertainment and High Noon Entertainment on TV shows but my true passion is feature filmmaking. I've also appeared and worked on some low budget films but nothing anyone would know. I've been nominated for several awards in Hollywood for scripts I wrote and have an agent pitching my work, but it's only been a few months so nothing big yet in my life. I'm hoping someday you guys will be building and selling props from one of my films. Lol. I've been an avid collector of film based replicas, props, figures, and displays since I was a teenager and figured it was about time someone actually got to see them. Now that I'm on here and looked around a bit, I feel my collection seems inadequate next to 99.8% of all you and it's now driving me nuts as I'm making a mental shopping list of what to strive for in the future. lol. Anyways, here's a little teaser of what I have and hope to post eventually.

Hello. Thank you for letting me join this great site. My name is Barry, I am a full time artist/sculptor living and working in Exeter UK. I'm origionally from New Zealand and move to the UK with my lady Just over a year ago. I've work in TV and film doing prop building and in camera fx and a few back room tech stuff. I got bored with the Video world a few years ago and have been working for myself ever since. I stumbled across this forum while trolling the net for sculpture stuff and being a BIG fan of the Aliens and Predator franchises I became hooked pretty quick. Im also a big fan of the deathmachine movie and am plaining to start scratch build a few different things for a bit of fun and maybe produce a few kits.
I look forward to chatting with you all and making a few new friends. Take care and see you all round.

Hey all. I've read so many of the posts before signing up, and have definitely found it helpful for planning. In my own case, I'm lacking the money, material, and time. I am not lacking in ambition though. I'm doing all of my planning first, then that way, I can build the whole costume not in one go, but in stages that can be done somewhat easily. For instance, there was a guy who had made a 1:1 scale Halo Elite. The lowest leg section (of three) and the feet were high density foam, and he had attached ski boots on the inside. I was hoping to do something similar for a Gigantic Guyver costume. Well, I did say I had plenty of ambition, right? I also wanted to build a regular Guyver, and a Spartan, but can't find any non-spandex pattern for an under-suit to make the whole thing more realistic.

I do have an engineering degree, and hope to be able to help even though I'm only just beginning my own projects.

Actually, it may have been a high density styrofoam, no quite the same. Not entirely sure what it was.

Hey, i'm Syd. found this fourm awhile ago and never thought to sign up for it (mistake on my part) but i decided to join becuas ei realized that not only is this site for all of those awesome people in the world who have the talents to create these works of art, but for those whishing to purchase stuff as well. This made my night, and i quickly joined up. Sadly your will never see me as a seller of an item of any sort but i sure as heck will probably pop up all over the board to buy anything and everything.

Hello Everyone.

My name is Guy and I first came across this site from someone I have been talking with on eBay about Daft Punk. I have also been a follower of Volpin Props would built an amazing Guy Manuel Helmet. He was the first person that I have seen creating props and that ultimately sparked my interest to start doing it myself.

I have worked on a couple little things here and there with LEDs and circuit boards. Working on putting together a dj helmet with equalizers and other LEDs thru out the helmet.

I also like making my own costumes. Custom pieces like in the movies as close to detail as I can.

Looking forward to any info or advice I can learn from the many members here.

Hi there,

My name is Ruben and I live in the Netherlands. I'm a member of the 501st (Dutch Garrison) and have been making costumes for several years now. I currently own a Bikerscout costume and have been working on Ezio from Asassin's Creed II. Ezio is a pretty hard project to work on but it is coming along very nice. I also own a VERY nice Blue Spirit mask from Avatar the Last Airbender wich will also be a full costume some time...

For the next few years I'm planning on building a Apollo 11 space suit. That idea has been in my head for quite some time now. Yeah I know...I'm crazy.

I have been on here for awhile, but I rarely post. My GF is on here as celticruins. I go bv "Berg". I am going to start posting here more often in the new year. I am attaching some pictures of my cosplays in order to better recognize me. I started costuming in 2004 as Legolas and it has just taken off from there. Now that I see my GF is on the Girls of the RPF calendar, what are the chances of getting a Guys of the RPF? lol. I am a middle school language arts/Lit. teacher and love all things Tolkien. Anyways, nice to meet all of you!
