re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I forgot to do this. Hi, my names Brian. I'm a second year architecture student at NDSU and I've recently become addicting to making replica props.

I just finished up my first build, a portal gun, and I'm working on a few other things currently.

Hey guys,
Im jimbo7 from GBF.com and Proptopia.com. Been around a few years now, but am totally blown away with the skill of the builders on this site. Hope to pick up a few tricks along the way!

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey All, new member, been lurking a while though. PC Beach here. Found this place looking over some pepakura builds. Working now on an ironman mask to play with the process a bit, figured there was a lot of reference for that while I got my feet wet.

Might try some Real Steal bots after this. Or maybe some sort of mashup between one of those and an ABC judge Dred thing, i dunno. I'm constantly awed by the builds people have been throwing together here and hope to add to it.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi, I'm just getting in to prop making as part of my university degree course and found this forum. Thought I'd sign up and try and get as much knowledge from you lovly people as possible. Really want to create replica sci-fi weaponry. I'm really interested in sci-fi firearms! If anyone has any tips on a good point to start I'd really like to hear from you.
All the Best.

Time to introduce myself...

Hello RPF community :)

My name is Laurent and I live in France :)
I am 35 and as a lot in our generation, I am a StarWars fan ! :D

I am freelance graphic designer and computer reseller in a big shop. Ho yeah, two jobs like that means not a lot of sleep time :p

I have discovered the RPF as I am a member of FX-Sabers forum.

I am a big fan of Jedi's outfits, boots or props like sabers. For the moment I think I am not really ready to do myself a saber, and think I am going to learn a lot before making one...

I am really passionate in what I do, love to learn and love to be here and if you all wish, be a small part of the RPF community :)

Thanks for reading and May The Force Be With You All :)

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi guys,

Might have done a presentation before but I've been away for a while :)

I don't make props but I love seeing them, especially looking at the design process and all the amazing work going on around here (that portal gun above looks very cool!) It's really impressive going through the threads, and seeing the level of accuracy of your props!
I wish I were skilled enough to make them!

I look forward to more props and movie discussions :)

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello folks!
I'm just a Call Center lackey with a decent knowledge of 3D modelling. I've wanted to make more physical items and might be able to start doing so soon.

I've met a few prop builders at a meet in Knoxville, Tennessee and between them and seeing Volpin Props works I've come across this forum several times. I figured it's about time I join and stop lurking. ;)

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello Everyone!

I'm new on your forum and especially after looking around here for a few months I would like to present myself here. My name is Jose and I'm originally from Spain, now living out in Germany with my wife and daughter. There's not really much to say, I signed up because this seems like a community full of fantastic people and completely awesome talent.Oh, yes, I'm a big fan of Indiana Jones and Star Wars since my childhood.

I've never made Indy props but I've always been interested in them and hope to start little projects over the next few months.. The Statuette from Indy´s desk Marshall College prop would be my next project.

So, on a bit of a produce spree ... Just wondering if you can offer opinions and links for where I should go to get the sizes and a drawing or layout of the Statuette from Indy´s desk Marshall College!? :lol

Any who, I hope to stick around here for a good while and get to know everyone

Hi guys,

I am an avid movie fan and admirer of the artistic skills of many of you. I lurked on this board for a bit after finding it several months ago and decided to register tonight. I'm not really a "collector" per se but really like replica t-shirts from the fictional sports teams in movies as well as anything related to favorite movies of mine (Star Wars, Firefly, for example). To the moderators on this board, thank you for having it, this is just like being a kid in the proverbial internet candy store.

Hello everyone! My name is Gregg, and I'm an alcoholic. Uh.. wrong meeting... Anyway, I've been costuming for many years now, mostly with the 501st, but have finally branched out and finished (mostly) a Master Chief costume. Now the gf wants a Halo costume, so looks like I'll be busy with that as well. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here and I love some of the things I've already seen here!

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi! I'm new here, which should be kind of obvious I guess, considering my low post count and the fact that I am posting here. :D

I was pointed the forums out by a friend who was helping me look for information on how to make a helmet I'd like to make and then wound up discovering how to make the entire costume, that being Bunny's powersuit (hopefully I am not the only Tiger&Bunny fan here!).

After a bit of reading I am already very impressed by the wealth of information and the vast amount of people willing to share their experiences here. I am very happy to be a member of the community and look forward to when I can start posting my own results. :)

I guess I am new here, but I remember the RPF back from the ezboard days ...

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi, looking to get some help on building an E11 blaster. I have a Sterling on the way and wanting to get things together to have it as a Stormtrooper prop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Keith

Hi
I basically have failed to put away childish things. All my builds are of things I wanted when I was nine in the seventies. Space 1999, Blake's 7, Judge Dredd (the comic)......in fact I have a spare scratch built lawgiver mk1, I would gladly swap for the means to build a comic version mk2.

Newb Member Reporting in!

Hey all. i've recently got my stormtrooper armour in the post earlier in the week and cant wait to get started. (I will be documenting it.)
Kinda funny thing is my boss had a Vader suit so kinda got the "Master of Puppets" thing happening.
i've also been scanning through all you guys posts and cannot beleive the stuff you guys are making its totally unbeleivable.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello everyone:

I just recently joined up but haven't posted till today. I have been lurking here for a few years and decided it was time to join. I collect prop replicas of weapons and equipment from the movies. Some are toys and the others are models except for one that is a real weapon. That one is a S&W 645 in .45 ACP. The same kind of gun used on the tv show Miami Vice and The Shield.

I have also managed to collect some rubber/foam stunt props from a seller online that had some props from Ellis Props. I managed to get a foam stunt rifle used in the movie "Escape From L.A." a foam L.A.R. Grizzely im -50 AE and a hard rubber AR-15 pistol that looks simular to the one used in "Clear and Present Danger" . I also have some of the old MGC replicas and a few airsoft ones. I just got a nice Man From UNCLE special from someone on eBAy. It came with an ID badge and the triangle badge with a number of my choosing and and accesory pack to carry the parts for the rilfe and a stand for the pistol.

I'm looking at trying to make something out of the NERF toys though soon. I have decided that I am going to make a Klingon Assault Rifle but I have to get working on it otherwise it might not get done till next year. When I can I'll try and post pictures of some of the props I have.
