Hello!
I am an amateur with props and costumes, but I've been drawing and painting for many years now. I have a medium-ish grade 3D printer, and some 3D modeling experience. Currently figuring out the next prop or costume I'll work on.

Hello!

Oskar here, psych staff by night and binge Star Trek watcher, also by night. Have no experience what so ever with prop making, but I can design a decent circuit, is Ok with clay and everything I do always ends in a great big mess. Joined to ask if anyone has a clue what the end cap on a self sealing stem bolt is but I'll post that question when I build up some courage to start a thread.

Thanks for letting me join.

Hello Everyone!

I'm Cody and I am from Denver, CO.

New into building props, although I have been obsessed with movie props and memorabilia since I was a small kid. I have bought plenty of replicas throughout the years, but nothing really impressive or screen accurate. My father was a huge SciFi fan, so I grew up with Star Trek and Star Wars burned into my entire youth, along with movies like E.T. and Close Encounters, etc. I have now taken on the challenge of building an ANH style Graflex. I am semi-confidant on most of the tasks that go into this, but running into a few confusing roadblocks. I am definitely not an electronics expert, I have come to realize. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get! I will find the right thread to layout what I have going on and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.. Excited to be a part of this community!

Greetings,
I am Jim, aka Hartigan Cosplay. I am a certified sculpture teacher from Belgium, with a complete obsession with costume - cosplay - props making. I crafted my first cosplay back in 2016, and I cant stop since then .

I am really happy to be there, to discover new stuff, learning things, sharing my little knowledge.

Here are some pictures of my work. Feel free to ask me anything!

See you later,

Jim

Hey all,

My name's Warren, thought I would pop on and say hello, Just joined the community! I've actually known about RPF for a long time, I studied SFX at university and this site was the SFX Bible to every student I knew. During/After Uni I continued working as a freelance artist, working for the BBC and a few feature lengths but it was always a struggle to maintain a solid income (as I'm sure many of you have experienced!) So I decided to move into the graphic design industry, I had the software knowledge and creative skills so it seemed like the right move! I've now been running my design studio for several years and I love it, however, I always feel I'm lacking something and that's the hands on creativity. So after stumbling upon this site again I decided it was time to sign up and plan some future projects that I would love to share with you. I'm absolutely blown away by so many of the projects on here and hopefully I can contribute to the community!

Cheers!

Hi all!

I'm so excited to be here. I stumbled onto this super forum numerous times researching a whole gambit of different props and costumes. I was so amazed to see such a large pooling of like minded creatives. I'll be honest, I totally geeked out a bit. I figured it was about time to actually sign up so I can ask my many questions that keep me awake at night whilst making cosplays. I've only really been fiddling around with prop and costume making for about a year now, so I'm trying to soak up as much information as possible, although I'd one day love to work at a studio like Legacy Effects.
If my name and dream job haven't given anything away, I'm a massive marvel fan and most of my prop and costume making interests centre around that, and a few other fandoms.

Looking forward to crafting with everyone,
Em

Hi there, got to be honest here, only joined because ive got a Superswitch alarm and thought someone may want it. I believe they used the same item in Aliens. Thanks

Hi from Wales, UK. Found the site after looking into creating the Kurtz Dossier from Apocalypse Now. Been collecting movie weapons and creating some props for a short period of time, looking to develop more items for a cinema room. Stunned by the quality and amount of props developed by professionals and members alike.

Hello everyone I am loud yeah you read that correctly, I am loud, and as a result of being both special needs and raised by a nerd. I am obsessed with all the things I was raised on but now as an adult have now starting making and collecting stuff from all the media have been obsessed with for years and I'm excited for the impact this forum is going to have on my pieces of media recreation
