Hi,
I'm from Charlotte, NC. My wife and I started making costumes for our sons to wear to assorted comic book conventions in the Charlotte area around a year ago. The boys have placed in a couple of contests, but most of all they really enjoy dressing up as different characters. I have been interested in trying some pepakura stuff and have visited this site a few times and thought it would be a good time to join.
Costumes we've made:
the Dixon brothers from the walking dead
the Tick and Arthur
a Dalek and the empty child from Dr. Who

Hi the name's Francis i'm from Québec province in Canada. This mean's i'm originaly a french speaking person and there may be some incoherence moments :S
I found this site... well by browsing on how to make an iron man mask and found out that there was lots of talent and I would like to learn from them. And so here I am on @TheRPF and I will start a post of my build as soon as there is enough pics and content for it to be interesting.

Hello forum,

I've been lurking for some weeks now and decided to join the ranks. I haven't made a complete build as of yet, but I've started work on a HEV suit from Half-Life 2. I found this site from a youtuber by the name of XRobots. I look forward to joining the community and hopefully getting some pro-tips from other users.

My name is Lukas and im from Germany. I dont have much experience in building costumes an stuff but recently i stumbeld across the amazing builds of people like Stealth and xrobots. Well so i read a lot of the threads on building an iron man foam costume here and wanted to make one too. I hope in this community i will find some solutions to the problems i allready stumbled upon and well, have some fun making suits

Hello every one, been costuming for a couple years now and finally broke down and made myself an account. I've been kinda scared to because theRPF is like the mecca of costuming. I'm in the Rebel Legion and have a pretty good Jedi, but what you guys make, makes me feel inadequate. The big decider on joining was that I'm working on Hiccup's costume from the upcoming How to Train your Dragon Two. I have a feeling that this community will be a huge boon to helping me on it. So... yeah Hi!

Hey everyone, I'm new to all of this, but I have always been a sci-fi junkie and have always wanted to create some of the cool things I've seen on this site. I'm from a small town in Texas where roughly 99% of the 4,500 people here are closed minded and uptight; so it's gonna be nice to communicate with people that hopefully are more like me. I found the pepakura site after a facebook friend told me about it and I saw a pic of an awesome costume he made with it. so...I thought I'd give it a try and introduce my kids to it since they are addicted to the show faceoff. also, I signed up here because the posts here are really helpful for the information I've been looking for. so thank you all for the great info, links and advice and hopefully you'll see me on here a lot more.

Hey all!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I am a huge movie fan, and a hardcore nerd at heart. #1 movie for me: Aliens. I have always wanted to own/build an M41-a Pulse Rifle, but never had the means or money. Recently I have wanted to really get into prop making and building a collection which would include (but not limited to) Proton Packs, other Aliens weapons, and really anything completely crazy and awesome.

I am a bit of a gun nut as well. I think that is why the Pulse Rifle has always appealed to me. I am also a big tinkerer, so building the props from simple kits its my forte (at least what I'd like to do).

Excited to be here! Can't wait pick brains all over this forum!

Howdy RPF! I'm pretty new to costume fabrication but I've always had a passion for Technical Theater/Stagecraft! I've been making various props for my Halloween decorations, but am just getting into costuming. I'm starting with an EVA foam version of Iron Patriot for my son! Looking forward to sharing my work and learning from all of you as well!

Fellow crafters, I'm no longer lurking in the shadows.

I've been working on what could be called props off and on for over a decade. The metal shop I work in has had pieces in: Sherlock Holmes, The Bourne Ultimatum/Supremacy, & Men in Black 3 to name a few.

I personally have been in love with the stylistic approach Gearbox has taken to the Borderlands franchise and subsequently I have been and will continue to make a series of different weapons props and gear from the game.

I am stoked on the volume of quality work and feedback the RPF community has to offer and I an glad I took the step out in to the light.

I'll see you in the funny pages...

New to theRPF & Cosplaying, have been a bit of a lurker though!

It all got to be too much for me when I went to LFCC yesterday and say Spider-Trooper in a Yuri SpiderPlanet Raimi suit.

Now I need to try to make suit for myself!
