I have a few toy items always laying around from phasers to sonic screwdrivers and decided to try my hand at making a sonic screwdriver myself and found this great place !!!

Lots to read lots to learn and glad to be someplace with folks who share what they have been doing and look great at answering questions.

Nice to be here, Im Javier from Sevilla Spain, Im a big fan of back to the future, I dont have many things in my collection but I wanted to be in contact with collectors and designers of movie prop replicas so i joined to meet people who love this kind of stuff.

Hey!
My name is Matt. I'm an aircraft mechanic. My specialty is advanced composite repairs. (Fiberglass, carbon graphite, Kevlar, and advance plastics) I discovered pepakura about a year ago, but didn't get into it til recently. Now I'm hardcore into it. I don't have any fins he'd projects to show off yet. I've done several pieces of War Machine in foam. They came out good, but it was an experiment to see if I could truly do it or not. I ended up addicted to it. Then I started doing various paper pepakura projects. I've yet to fiberglass anything yet, but that's coming real soon. I'm still working on scaling, and I think I've got that figured out now. I haven't fully decided on who I'm building first as my full pepakura build, but I'm dying to get started.

Hey everyone, I'm Ted. I live outside of Chicago, IL. I have a Knight Rider 2008 KITT Mustang Replica. It has a working ORB, hood scanner and under dashlights. It was on display in Vegas 2011 at the Knight Rider Festival. I take KITT to a lot of car shows and thats why I'm here. I want to find or build some props for the car. If anyone can help, that would be great.

Hey my name is Eoin Cepeda, I just got into prop making recently! I do art and woodwork in school but I have never made an actual prop, I am starting one soon though and that's going to be the Laser Rifle from Fallout 3! I can't wait to start and hope to show you guys my finished piece! Hopefully if I am stuck along the way you guys can help out with ideas and suggestions! Thanks!

Greetings and salutations... I am a beginner-level propmaker and hope to get better. I registered, like most of everyone else, to admire the handiwork here and/or to learn tips on how to improve oneself. Hope to see everyone else around...

Hey guy. I'm new to gathering prop/replicas. I found my way here thanks to a friend and a few searches for crystal props... Superman, Dark Crystal shards, romancing the stone, etc. I guess I like shiny things. Another reason is I also full size props that don't take up full rooms. I'm sure I'll expand as my space does. :)

Hello RPF. I just signed up about 2 weeks ago. Stumbled upon this board looking for Judge Dredd helmets. I love helmets... and costuming. I've made my own costumes in the past, by no means worthy of some of the ones I've seen here. I've done Painkiller Jane, comic Black Widow, Catwoman, The Punisher (yes, a girl lol). I'm currently working on a Frank Miller Spirit.

Hey all, I've been a member here since early 2012 and have been lurking here for much longer. Star Wars has been my first love since I was young. From there my love of all things Sci-fi has grown. These days I'm all about Marvel.

I love the positive attitudes that abound here. It's a much more mature group than most forums these days. I can't thank my fellow members enough for all they've indirectly taught me.

I am trying to make 2 (two) matching Bender/Flexo costumes for my twin 12 year old sons, and was let to your great site by BirdDog's amazing build. I'm not building anything as elaborate as that, but it been a lot of help to see what he and others have done.

If I have time, I want to make myself one too, so I can walk around with them saying, "Hi. I'm Bender, this is my robot Bender, and this is my other robot Bender."

Hello

i just joined last week. i came cross RPF.com looking for a good PDO file for Ironman and when i started to look at different peoples work, all i can say is wow. My goal is to make me a ironman costume not sure which one i want to do. then if i complete that i would like to move on making my little cuz one. only thing i am having a hard time with is finding a good places to buy 10mm foam, i found 12mm but i think its to much. i searched the forms but i cant find any that talks about where to buy it. well any how love watching everyones work.

Long time lurker/reader, just starting to realize how much I enjoy making things. Have a background in design (print/web) and am just getting into 3D printing...am _really_ interested in how the rise of cheap 3D printers affects prop creation. Curious why there's no printable-file area on here yet. :)

Areas of interest: any sci-fi, but esp Star Wars (am just beginning to look seriously at Obi-Wan replicas), Blade Runner, and the like.

I live in Denmark, where I run the Official scandianvian Visitor costume fan group.
Im a member of the rebel legion, and the 501st (4 acknowledged costumes), 5 years ago I got into V.
And spend a lot of time making Uniforms, props, weapons, helmets you name it for V.

My name's Corey and I recently got into cosplay this year!
I'm just finishing up my new 52 style aquaman costume, it's not perfect but it's pretty good! I work with a lot of sewing, papercraft/pepakura and craft foam!
I'm hopefully doing a Batman Beyong (Cartoon version) costume soon!

how you guys doin....my names James..Im from Dundee in Scotland. i started collecting props a few years ago it started with predator masks and figures and weapons then moved on to robo cops gun and the law giver....and terminator figures but due to being a responsible adult and having a little girl (Lillie) i had to let them all go much to my disapointment and due to the fact that my little angel was more hands on with some of them than i would have liked and were dasasembled and not in a nice way.......but.....Lillie is 4 now and ive moved on from small toys to building an ironman suit. i have looked at pepakura but fancy the foam way to go so i have been checking out the net on different builds and youtube and am gonna give it a bash.......by the way the costumes on here are awsome well done you guys and i hope mine will be as good when its done.... will keep you posted

Hi! I'm Mickey from Tennessee, and I'm going to have to blame my father for this one :lol He made my brother and me a batman and robin costume when we were nine. I didn't really get into making costumes until the last few years. Mainly zombies until I decided to make Magenta from "Rocky Horror Picture Show." After that, I made a couple of costumes and props for friends, but nothing major. So really I'm kind of new to this whole thing.
I found this site through random bloggers that I follow, and found it interesting. So I decided to join.
