re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Do I REALLY have to introduce myself again? I mean, I've been a member here for a long time....Oh, that's right.........Russians.....maybe soon I will get my rank of "General" back.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi guys and girls,
Justin here. Heard alot of good things about this site, except for the Russian thing. I started cosplaying a few years ago and hitting conventions and absolutely love it.

So far I have a few main costumes that I do and to many to name on a "future" list but these are my regular costumes that i do.

Wolverine from the X-men
Nightwing from Batman

So that's pretty much it, hope to hear from you guys and maybe run into a few of you at some Cons.

Justin

Hi all,

I joined about a month ago I think, I found this place while searching for info on making my own Captain America shield.

After much blood sweat & tears I manage to cobble one together. I've been so blown away by the quality of work being done on this site that it took me a couple weeks to work up the nerve to post my very humble offering. pics attached.

Not the most outstanding paint job, but this is my first prop attempt, and I learned a lot by doing it so I'm cutting myself some slack and I hope you all will to. I have version two planned, and the next one will be aimed at movie "accuracy". :lol

I'm a big Star Wars, Iron Man, & Captain America fan, and graphic artist by trade.

Thanks!

Hi guys (and ladies)

After lurking for a while now, I finally decided to actually join. I was guided here by my friend. I believe you know her as Hydra.

So, a little about me. I'm a big fan of video games, anime, movies, comics... the normal stuff that seems to draw people here. I currently have a few large costume projects in the works/planning stages, Halo Mk VI Mjolnir armor (35% done), ProtoMan from MegaMan (Original series, 5% done), Black Waltz 3 from Final Fantasy IX (planning), and Big Boss/Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3 (90% done, always updating it)

Of course there are about 20 other costumes that I want to build, with what seems to be more and more every day.

Other than that, I'm a huge car geek. If it goes fast on 4 wheels, I'm there. I also do silkscreening and airbrush art on clothes.

I think that's it for now. I guess I'll go back to lurking in the corner, maybe I'll even post some progress pics here and there.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi all. I came across this site looking for a movie version of Captain America's shield. In general I am a big comic book fan particularly Captain America. Its the collector in me that enjoyed the prop making aspect of comics although I am into other genres. Ive tried a cosplay type version of a Ultimates Cap Costume for halloween and had lots of fun being creative. My two grail props would be Caps movie shield and a Colonial Marines Pulse Rifle

Hi,
I'm Chuck, from Australia, and am a huge Star Wars fan. I'm mostly into SciFi and Fantasy genres of films and novels, and am currently working on a scratch built PVC E-11 Blaster from the Star Wars films. In fact, it was this that led me here! I'm hoping to be accepted into the 501st Legion shortly.

Hello everyone. I found this site while looking for aliens prop replicas. I am so glad I found this site! Although I have no experience in making props the more I read the more I want to try. I look forward to talking to you all!

MinginDub????? what a numpty.

now for the intro. I'm a 27 yr old ex-pat in Calgary, Canada. big into modding my cars and since spring 2011, a 09 Triumph Street Triple R. the bike is the main reason I found the RPF as i was looking for Tron inspiration and have (still in process of) created a Tron-look bike. all satin black with the logos remade in Tron font at my own creative hand. i also have a Sam Flynn suit from UD Replicas which is totally bad ass and now i am awaiting a Rinzler suit for the upcoming riding season. this led me to try and find a rinzler helmet for fun and it looks like i can make one using pepakura and my own bodyshop skills. so what these pages for an update soon as i am now pep-ing the helmet

Hi. I'm Niki. Just relocated to TN with my husband. We're from So. Cal originally. We're crazy Star Wars fans. We did a lot of stuff with our local fan force buddies. I'm mainly a costumer. He's dabbled in props, mainly light sabers. I wanna take up costuming again and hopefully put together some props to go with it. There are so many things on my list I'll give you the gist. Besides SW, we love TRON, HALO, Assassin's Creed, Iron Man, Batman and I'm a crazy obsessed Disney gal. We both would like to put together a Star Wars costume. He had a TK, but he sold it and he'd like to have one again. I'd like to go the Boussh or Mando route. And I really want to put together a steampunk costume. Maybe go a steampunk Huntress and Nightwing. Ok. That's it. :D Hope to chat with everyone and see the great stuff everyone creates.

Hey guys, Doc here, posted a few times but never really introduced myseld. I'm a sculpture student hoping to one day be a prop maker. I make replicas and costumes in my spare time and collect some things. I'm a major fan of everything Tron. Want to build a light runner some day if I ever get the room and funds. I have a big list of props I want to make and will post them on the forum eventually. If only there was more time in a day.

Hello. I've been here for a couple of months now but never said hello. I'm big into Star Wars and Ghostbusters costuming and props. I'm a member of the Rebel Legion (Freedom Base) and pending approval for a costume for the 501st. I also help run the Northern Virginia Ghostbusters costuming group.

Hi all,

My name is Rich. I am a 501st member and general cinema and costuming nut.
I have been a casual reader of the forum for some time and finally decided to check in.

Many will know me from other sites and some even in person.

My current projects are (yet another) stromtrooper, Michael Myers (H1 & H2) and Scream/Ghostface. I've been researching my Ghostface robes all morning ...

Also, together with a good friend and professional sculptor, I will soon be making my first steps into prop production and supply. Our first test project will be a short run of resin replicas of the Buck 120 knife used in the Scream movies.

All the best

Rich

Ello, I'm Nick, 18, just finishing up high school in Zionsville, Indiana, US of A. I'm a huge dork when it comes to things most normal people don't care about at all - I'm not really hardcore into this or that, I just take interest in just about everything deemed geek, especially if it involves electronics, DIY, or computers. I also do almost as much stuff in the real world, on good days. :lol Run cross country and track, manage to at least seem smart in school (although senioritis is really kickin' into high gear now...7 semesters, and it's about to get a helluvalot better, so might as well have some fun right?) , I think I have friends, several of them are female. Man am I on a roll. I also have interests in RC stuff from time to time, I love firearms and trips to the range, and I'm in the process of beginning my college career with NROTC and hopefully earning a commission with the USMC in these next few years, possibly aviation. Haha anyway, I'm looking at making up a decent Pipboy 3000 with some sort of smartphone and an arduino, we'll see how that goes if it ever does. I just posted up a lame Sunset Sarsparilla bottle if anyone wants to check it out.:cool Happy...propping!
