Hi I am a new member here. This is my first post.
I am a graphic designer/illustrator and my interests are prop building and costume making. So far I've completed a Tusken Raider mask and have another one on the go. I've also been working "SLOWLY" on a scratch build Boba Fett costume.
My wife is a graphic designer and is also into costuming. The last couple of years she hasn't had a lot of extra time to work on anything. In the past we've done Planet of the Apes makeup together and she made her own Bride of Frankenstein wig/costume (with my mother's help). It turned out excellent. She's a very detailed oriented person!
I'm attempting to get her back into this hobby. She's always been a big ALIEN fan and saw a post last week with a lot of information on the original Alien costumes. The thread triggered interest in her doing an ALIEN "Ellen Ripley" costume (from the first movie) .
Does anyone have more information regarding Ripley's ALIEN outfit that could help my wife out?
She's been trying to figure out what kind of shoes Ripely is wearing in the photos. She found the style from the second movie but they aren't the same as the first movie. She also would like to know where she could find the coveralls that Ripley wears - - whether they need to be altered or customized.
