    Fantastic work, particularly like the brow section and the slightly swept back ears. That is going to be beautiful when it's done.

    Re: New Jim Lee style Batman cowl

    thanks guys....this will be part of a full suit ...working out the kinks on eliminating that "bulky" issue that seem to go with most Bat suits....more updates comin' :thumbsupin'

    and the head size should fit a 23.5-24".....since there will be a separate neck, the cowl portion will be easier to get on and off...the neck will be done in such a way that will make it easier to get on and off as well:thumbsup

    I'm excited to get going!

    ** I must say, ive heard of this fitting different on the people that have it, but mine fits like i have NOTHING on my face...With the motion in the neck, you FEEL like Batman...its very organic feeling and the way it sits on my face makes me feel like the character...i love this thing, I strongly recommend this cowl! AND....it just slips on...no pulling your hair out of your head...just think about THAT haha

    I just tried on my Deadend cowl again - so true. I haven't shaved in a few days and even with a lycra balaclava and talc, the thing was trying to rip my face off!

    Shawn, how will the neck piece fit? will it be one piece or have a closure at the back?

    one piece, the opening will be large enough to fit your tea through, especially if it's properly powdered on the inside...

    however I sculpted it with a "V" in the front that could be trimmed away should one find the opening too small, by trimming away that portion of the neck piece the opening would be larger to accommodate larger heads...one would have to have a black ( or blue depending on the version of Bats you're doing ) fabric neck covering underneath to achieve the uniform color

    here is a shot of the cowl on a hardcopy master of the neck....

    @eko2184--- cowls are urethane rubber

    @kapow7--- the new 52 was sort of my inspiration for this cowl :cool

    Re: New Jim Lee style Batman cowl**FINISHED CASTING PICS**

    I just saw this posted on the Bat-Blog. Then I Googled "batman cowl no neck" and this thread came up. :lol Anyway, I gushed at Reevz awesomeness via e-mail already, but just to say it again...awesome!

    I'm really curious how this will ultimately turn out. As cool as the Batman movie cowls look, the lack of ability to turn his head is pretty awkward given he's an ultimate ninja and all. But I don't feel like DKR has solved the problem either, because the new suit makes Batman look like a bobblehead. It's like you need the thickness and musculature that comes from the rubber necks, but a Batman who has to turn at the waist to see anything looks silly.

    So like I said, really curious to see how this ends up. Maybe this is the solution. It looks very promising, in addition to looking fantastic. Just the right amount of face grimace and I love the short ears and lack of nose "nostrils."
