the article says the man behind mask will not be Osborn since sony owns the rights to him in the spiderman contract. I'm kinda bummed that for the 3rd movie and yet again tony is up against a suit of armor.

It sucks that it won't be Norman Osborn like the comics but I've always liked the Iron Patriot concept and they have done an excellent job with the Ironman movies and the Avenger movie so I really can't wait to see what they do with Iron Patriot.

Nothing says that this is going to be the only villain in the movie anywhere. Very possibly could be another one... I mean, look at Spiderman 3. On the downside, Spidey 3 featured one of the WORST casted roles for Eddie Brock/Venom

So true! Who ever thought casting Eric Foreman as Venom was a good idea?

it definitely is not the only one. the main villain is guy pierce, and there is also ben kingsley as the mandarin. this one is just the 3rd one, and the suit is worn by james badge dale aka eric savin aka coldblood.

i still think its more likely that its detroit steel and not iron patriot.

Iron Patriot is one of the Villians. They have someone else playing him too....Not Norman Osborn.... Kinda lame. Characters name is Eric Something?

I believe they are planning to have Tony wearing the Extremis armor somewhere in the film like the Mk7 in The Avengers, which did'nt really appear until near the end. Or at least that's what some people are thinking. Also Spidey, I think his name is Eric Savin some sort of cyborg.

I read somewhere here on the RPF that the actor in the suit is a stunt double, and the armor is supposed to be a variant / repaint of War Machine. It doesn't make much sense to me, but hey. Rumors.

i heard the same thing as msleeper, i thnk i read it on io9. anyway, that picture shows a repainted war machine, there are 3 villains so far in the movie, i think adding a 4th one would be too much =P
