I am doing a Mini-Doc film series called "The Art and Science of Filmmaking" I just interviewed Michael Moore at HMS Creative Productions. As you probably know he designed and build many of the most iconic Star Trek TV series props since ST:TNG. Here he talks about Tricorders, Phasers etc.

I really liked the second video, I wish they would have shown more of the construction of the prop, too many cut aways, but still very interesting.
