New Indiana Jones Raiders Idol

Well... New to me.

This is a $149.00 Amazon item that - in my opinion - is pretty damn cool...

Some clarification...

The new one is the lighter colored item. The more rich yellow gold version is that ~$100.00 "amazon Special".

Having seen the film, in the theaters, in 1981 - and having it loved it more than beer and Star Wars ever since - I have always held / felt that the original finish on the idol was the lighter "gold" we found on vac-metalized toys and cheesy plastic pirate coins...

As such, the new idol has (to me) a more correct finish, and a much higher quality finish.

Other than the forth-coming "bomb", my only critique is that the fine detail in the hair fades at the forehead...

I thought maybe you were posting about the Regal Robot Raiders idol, scheduled for release next year.

For a buck fifty, I recommend it - knowing what I've shared - that certain areas are soft (mostly the headband), and that it would need to be displayed high enough or angled enough not to see the opening.

ON THE OTHER HAND...

Mix up a daquiri and add a little umbrella, and find a chair by the pool!
