Heres a shot of everything put together so far. Slowly but surely all the holes and divots are getting smoothed out. I also made the jaw mor accurate. I cant wait till this is finished.
The pepsi can is there so you can get an idea of the scale. I like the flat black look because it echoes gigers original sculpt with his black plasticene clay. So i get a good idea if im on the right track. What do you all think?

Heres a picture of the general idea for the tongue/the "inner-teeth." the tongue is about 12in in length.
Beginning sculpture of the inner-teeth. Each set will be cast as a seperate piece so that you may glue them open/closed/somewhere in between. Plus, it will be easier to mold and cast this way. I used gluesticks as the base of the teeth so it can fit no matter what angle you rotate them for gluing. There will be more clay built up to disguise them. Before i could sculpt onto the gluesticks i had to stick wire into them representing the "fangs" and then fiberglassed the assembly so it was rigid and clay would stick....a pain, but it worked!

Im ready to make molds of the teeth jaws and tongue. I ordered some silicone and it came in this week. While I was waiting I put together a large size suit.

It is going to be a polyurethane foam filled resin. That way the head will have a firm structure so the dome will not want to break. The neck will be latex.
This way it will be a great display piece or wearable prop.

A few more pictures to update my progress. I have painted the head with gray primer and I see where I need to do some additional sanding. I am also hollowing out the inside so I can fit my head inside. I have started to make a mold of the tongue.
