I am starting to add the glazing putty to the dome to make it perfect for making of clear dome. Then its time to clay up the walls and then....THE SILICONE!

I spent a lot of time smoothing out the head, you can see my reflection in one picture.

I put up clay walls and have started the silicone....

I needed a couple days off, now back yo work...

Heres the outer half of the dome mold. now i gotta roll out the clay to build up the thickness of the dome to pour the second half of the clear dome

Test dome that I pulled out of just one side of the mold to see if it would fit. Its made out of fiberglass....

The final dome will not be made out of fiberglass....

A few more touch-ups and she is ready for silicone. I will then work on the clear dome again...

- Looked again at jaw - and yes you are :)

Always with these suits the tails hang down - I keep thinking of ways to make the tail more like the Queens tail when she is fighting Ripley in the Loader. A two legged animal would use it for balance ?!

I dont know how practical it would be to make a tail like this - or the additional weight problems it would bring - I think it would have to be jointed similarly to snake below

Thats a logical way to go about the tail. But yuo have to remember
that the tail is 6ft long, so a very strong harness has to be made to counteract and transfer the force and stress being applied at
the spot where the tail meets the body.

Fishing line with a sling works pretty well. The tail sways when walking looking like it is balacing you. Somewhat realistic when you watch the way real animals move
