New FX Lightsabers with REMOVABLE BLADES

I got my Vader lightsaber today and I am very pleased with it. I've held back for literally decades from buying a lightsaber, waiting for the 'right one' to come along (which I would like).

Glad I made this choice. It's weighty, acceptably accurate, the light and sounds are astonishing, and I just love that it has a removable blade as a display option.

Not a LE or anything of the sort, but so cooooooooooooool.

Just got my Anakin FX. There are some scratches right out of the box, but I don't care. Overall nice piece, can't wait to see the Maul and any other designs they release.

New sound FX are nice too.

Amazon was great. I used a prime membership and paid 114.99 with FREE 2nd day shipping. Ordered Monday night.

Each model has a different blade holding method. The Anakin simply has a screw running through the blade (that top screw).
The Vader, you have to remove the black emitter and unscrew a ring that holds the blade down in place.
The Obi, the emitter simply unscrews.

The Anakin is pretty sturdy, no wobble.

I "needed" a Vader and I love I can display this without the blade with my MR Luke ESB.

size wise how different is the anakin hilt to a accurate replica

Neat how they have FX noises for when you attach the blade, or when it is not attached, a buzzing malfunction sound is made when you turn it on.

Yep :lol waaaaay too many. It took me almost an hour getting them off and leaving the metal shiny again.

Would love one of these for Quigon from TPM, and perhaps Starkiller from SW:TFU.
But perhaps asking for a character that never existed in the original series is going s tad too far.

New Kit Fisto seen at toy fair. Not a fan but I've heard that others coming out this year are Mace Windu, Luke ROTJ and ANH or ESP, Vader ROTJ.

Maybe we'll see at comic con?

Nope. The LEDs are all in the blade. They come with a plug for when the blade is removed, and make some sounds, but no light.
