New finished Bacara helmet and others in progress

I got a few new helmets in the mail this week. Another RC, a Barc trooper (a pghfett that someone started already), a finished Commander Bacara, those along with the new Neyo I got the other day and my unfinished helmets are really getting to be a big collection - must finish them...:rolleyes

This Commander Bacara (i got for a fantastic price) on the DH boards, a complete custom job, nicely done with a padded inside.

And a couple of shots all together - small collection, I know, but I am just getting started and with a new 16 year old kid in the house my space became quickly limited (2 story 3 bedroom townhouse living alone to an instant single parent of a teenage girl living in a 2 bedroom apartment...4 months and we are both still alive:wacko)

I would certainly call that a sharp looking collection of helmets!

Thanks, in that mix there are still 2 regular clone helmets (one for a regular white helmet paint job, and the other for a Cody helmet conversion), as well as 2 Ties - one for a re-do into a nicer Tie and the other for a AT-AT conversion, as well as a Scout that needs to be fixed up and a Fang Fett I am turning into a Jango.

Nice collection you got going there!

Though not usually a fan of the EU stuff I do really like those Republic Commando helmets.

Although I am a big EU fan I do think the RC helmet design was well done in regards to the films. Really seems like something that is a design for a clone helmet based on a Mandalorian one. (always kind of thought it would have made a good first clone one, instead of the Ep. 2 helmets)
Anyway mine are both from Polymer Armory, they have been great to work with. Eric has helped me out with fantastic customer service. The new untouched RC helmet on the bottom is going to be an all black Omega squad one, and I am hoping to buy a full set of RC armor from them at some point.
I have been lucky in that I am not ultra worried about screen perfection, I just want a cool looking helmet that looks like the "real thing" to me. I get a real Kick out of painting them myself and making them more personal.

You are correct - They are Detolf display shelves from IKEA. I love them, and need to pick up 2 more before the discontinue them (not that they will, but if I don't get them soon, then they will just to spite me)

Sunny day tomorrow (Finally!) so I did a little more paint prep and I have 6 ready for primer. Geez...I did get behind. :rolleyes

Priming done - first stage anyway. I bought white primer by mistake, which bothers me, but I used it anyway (just don't look right to me)
I started the second round of putty on a few of the helmets.
What always sucks is seeing something you have to fix that you did yourself working on the helmets (like the marks the drill left on the Neyo helmet while I was drilling out the teeth that I did not notice until the primer hit it, and now I have to fix:rolleyes)
