New Elstree Studio documentary with discarded Graflex.

On a similar note - piano tuning pegs are square with beveled tips/corners. Early tuning hammers had a square hole, like a robertson screw. Current ones have an 8 pointed star, giving you lots of options on how to position the hammer.

Replaced Roman’s bubblestrip on my TGS replica with Skywampa’s Exactra bubblestrip casting, at least until such time as Rebelscum does another run of bubbles. I trimmed and angled the sides to match the Elstree saber (since this is almost certainly how the onscreen hero props’ bubblestrips were done, too), and fitted it into the clamp.

As previously noted, the clamp lever is already a tight fit on Roman’s bubbles thanks to the lever being given that extra turn into the sidebars. With the thicker Skywampa bubbles in place, it’s REALLY tough to get that lever down. These two factors most definitely account for the wonky lever on the ANH prop(s). And I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if one of the reasons—besides aesthetics—that they switched to the circuit cards for ESB is because they were much quicker and easier to trim and fit into the clamps.

I remember when this thread started but have not kept up with it,
So we are saying production made but not screen used?
But still of useful little details?
Is that the long and short of it, a friend is asking if i know anything about it but don't :)

Dang I don't want to have to dink with my graflex again...

Roy, wondering why you didn't offset the rivets like they appear on the trash saber?

I'm just waiting for Roy to conclude his research on the mystery rivets. I'm volunteering to be the first here to modify my replica's bottom half to incorporate this detail.

I'm still waiting for some rivets for comparison. I will show them as soon as I have them. You might be second on this detail ;)

The ROTJ Vader stunt/MoM/Dv6 kills your OCD, doesn't it? ;)

LOL! Maybe unconsciously it does!

I recently joined the RPF and was fascinated with this thread and the double rivet theory on the graflex and I got to see that graflex at celebration this year and I am not sure if I'm seeing things or if this already has been mentioned but, If anyone here owns the poster for a new hope, If you look at the end of the graflex you can kind-of see two little round things sticking out that look like double rivets. look at your own poster and let me know what you guys see.
