The Obi-Wan eFXtreme looks interesting (I could care less about the Ahsoka saber)

Whoa... the first officially licensed reveal saber!!! :eek

All I can say it I hope it's got lots of pulsating hidden LEDs, light sheets, or fiber optics and a constant Obi-Wan saber hum when it springs open (after the obligatory vacuum seal break sound...:love) Is that too much to hope?

I saw this at SDCC last year, it was REALLY cool. Lights, sound... total coolness. I hope that what I saw translates into a great mass production piece!

I saw this saber at Comic Con this last summer. It's less impressive in person. The cut-away sabers done here are MUCH better.

The ones produced here may be better, but not everyone was able to get one and I have not seen any offered for sale here in a long time. For a mass produced item, this gets my vote.

The interest in cutaways kinda waned a while back (even before the economy crisis). The last couple I built languished in the junkyard a long time before they went. Also, it seemed that those of us that did the most building kinda got a little burnt out on them since they took so long to do. Even the interest for the much-talked-about Elstree ROTJ reveal seemed to go away. (I considered doing a run with my machinist after the Alice/Vera project was done but it didn't seem viable.)

The Obi looks like it's picking up on the interest for the ROTJ reveal. It looks quite nice, but I just hope they manage to keep the insides from looking like plastic.

The cutaway looks pretty nice. I am not into the cutaways but it looks like they did a good job with it. AND although I would not buy it I do plan to get an Ahsoka saber from them.:thumbsup

Although I do like my MR Obi saber, I'll probably sell it to get this one, IF it's not ungodly high priced and out of my $$ range at this time.
