I'm probably gonna get flamed but...
The I dislike the comic helmet.
I dunno, it just doesn't work for me. Also looks oversized and "cartoony"
just my opinion.
(on a side note, I prefer the body armor so far over the previous movie, more tactical, less flashy.
...If they only combined the 2)

is that confirmed as legit? I too like the toned down armor, though I'm sure that will upset die-hard fans.
But for a first release publicity still, it looks A LOT like a fan film.

wow! looks awesome! Helmet looks fab! nice and big and protective looking! (hopefully it stays on) and the more functional looking armour seems to work too I agree...as does the lawgiver...I just hope they at least kept the kneepads and tall boots. overall very intriguing stuff!

According to IMDB it's currently in pre-production as a British production filming in South Africa with a targeted 2012 release and Karl Urban as Judge Dredd.

SWEEEEET,but i love the bigger pads ,they make the Judges seem bigger than life and apart from the perps,i would've loved to seem a Lawgiver mk 1 or 2 from the comic but i'm kinda oldscool(or just old) .
They must have the comic Lawmaster.....

Yeah, that still does have a bit of the fan film stink on it doesn't it?
What is it that makes fan films so fan filmy?
Generic lighting? Fake over the top "tough guyness"?

It's a rehearsal still..the movie is still in pre production. Probably looks a bit "fan film" as you say because it's not full production values.

I'm actually digging this look a lot. It totally looks like something you'd see a SWAT team wearing; better than the Stallone armor imho.
I'm not too versed with the Judge Dredd universe, but isn't that badge available from a member here? Could've sworn I saw someone offer one up like that.

Regarding that the helmet looks too big in the pic, an opinion voiced by many, I'd have to agree. The case maybe just the angle and lighting in this particular picture. Someone over at the 2000AD forum did a quick photoshop and it looks a little better. I will reserve judgement before I see more pics of the whole Judge from different angles.
