New Country For Old Men Panasonic Flip Clock - Completing my triad of flip clocks

I recently "settled" for a different color of the Panasonic Flip Clock pictured in the Tommy Lee Jones movie, "No Country For Old Men," the RC-6003. I already had a white version, but as you can see from the screen grab below, it's more tan or beige.

On eBay I found a clock that, while it looked nice, didn't appear to be the right color

Imagine my surprise when I open the box to find the exact color clock as in the movie! My white version has perfect chromed knobs, so once I switch that out it will look nearly mint.

So I thought I'd take my own picture of the clock ... but I'll be darned it if doesn't come out yellow! It's strange! Anyway, this clock completes my collection of Panasonic Flip Clocks in the movies (the others being the RC-6025, the Groundhog Day clock and the RC-6015, the Back to the Future Clock). Very happy day.

Darn, I had the wood accent one when I was a kid and took it apart one day when it stopped working. That was stupid of me.

I sure am glad someone appreciates it (My wife sure doesn't). That RC6003 was a real score. They are super rare in the correct color, and the quality is almost perfect (usually the chrome paint is worn). As soon as Tommy Lee Jones decides to kick the bucket it will probably soar in price (Did I just say that?). Honestly, I have no intention of selling. Each one is at the top as far as quality. I just completed two sales of the RC6025's (Groundhog day) for about $250 each (one I had to ship to Moscow) and my personal one puts them to shame. I only sell to finance my hobby, but I think I'm still terribly in the hole.

It's funny about these flip clocks. When people find that I'm into them they say "Oh, I see these all the time at flea markets." You don't anymore, sista. People have realized that they're gold on eBay. The three I have are the top sellers, generally. But there's a dude (who actually just now bought my white version of the RC6003) who sells top notch refurbished clocks of different varieties and manufactures. You'll know who, if you go look. Sort flip clocks by highest price and you'll see. Anyway, I'm off topic.

So now.... I'm sure there are more flip clocks in the movies and TV. I think there was one in Fringe but I'll have to go back and look. But for now, I'm satisfied.
