New blaster project

I found a 1960's pellet gun at a garage sale the other day and bought it so I could do a custom blaster project. But I need ideas on how I should modify it to make it look like it could have been from a Star Wars movie. So let's have your thoughts!

But keep in mind I am a novice at this sort of project so I need ideas that wouldn't be too difficult for someone such as me...thankx.

Make it a Greedo-gun. :)

I like the idea of Leia's ROTJ blaster, but I looked on partsofsw.com at the gun used for hers and thought the hand grip was shorter than this one's.

I'm not saying it would be an exact match, but the slim features lends itself to that of a sporting blaster. My suggestion is to take it in that direction.

I agree with that. In WW2 the Allies dropped weapons to various resistance groups. They were usually easy to maintain and cheap to produce. This looks like something like that. Maybe the Rebels found a gun that was accurate, easy to maintain, and widely available they could smuggle to resistance groups? Whatever you do don't try to exactly copy the Trilogy guns. A lot of people make a "custom blaster" and in reality just borrows elements from the OT guns. Look at the "Art of" Original Trilogy books if you have them. They have some really good concept gun drawings.

It is based off of a Colt Woodsman, High Standard also made a pistol in that pattern. The only thing it wold have in common with Princess Leia's pistol, is that they are both in .22 long rifle caliber.

and some pvc pipe (not sure about sizes though) to make it like this ( its color coded to tell the difference from the pieces, imagine it in all black)
