New Back to the Future Video Game?

I'm glad those creepy looking other BTTF game pics aren't from it lol. I do like the pic of Doc and Marty together and even if its a fairly lame game at least it has one of the actors doing the voices. I want to know how they plan on putting it on xbox if its episodic unless they're releasing them on live market place or one disc at a time in that case its going to be a massive game.

Oh yeah. All the NES BTTF games were pretty bad, same with Bill and Ted which was a shame. I don't think there were many good movie games back then.

Check this vid for all the poop on BTTF games of the past. That 1st pic on the other link looks like it came from the Super Famicon version that was released only in Japan

This is the Angry video game nerd BTW so its probably NSFW and if cursing maeks you cry you may not want to watch it either.

The BTTF starts at about 8:50.

Although 1:22-1:52 is a nice little jab at the SE trilogy

Why does Doc look like a zombie in the concept art?

If these games are anything like the Ghostbusters game I'll be quite pleased. I have the BTTF game for the NES and, to be honest, I have a soft spot in my heart for it. It was a crappy game but I played that thing for months and months until I beat it. We rented BTTF 2&3 and I couldn't get past the first level, I didn't get it at all and was VERY upset at the time.

I don't think there ever have been.. :lol

Hmmm... Off the top of my head:

- Goldeneye
- Batman (the first NES game)
- Super Star Wars
- Super Empire Strikes Back
- Super Return of the Jedi
- Duck Tales (kinda cheating, it was a TV show)
- Lego Star Wars
- Lego Indiana Jones

And that's only games that directly followed the plot of the films the represented. The X-Wing/Tie Fighter games were awesome and the Jedi Knight games had a huge following. More recently the new Ghostbusters game was quite fun. I'm sure others here could add to the list.

back then fellas. like, nintendo time.

before read dead redemption, ghostbusters was my favorite game on the 360. now there's nothing better than rdd.

I haven't played the Batman one but point taken. I suppose I was thinking of the reverse (though there HAVE been a couple of good films made from games.. just not many).

Oh come on, Mortal Kombat was a cinematic masterpiece! :lol

I actually always liked Mortal Kombat. Just the right amount of cheese, action and fun. :)

cobalt crimson - As for how the episodes will work in this new BTTF game, I have to assume that it will all be Downloadable Content (DLC). Each episode will probably be $5 to $10 depending on how popular they are.

I was thinking at least a Lego BTTF game would be fun. A somewhat realistic FPS would be cool so it feels more like I am traveling in time, but even a 3rd person will be fun if done right.

Fingers crossed!

I too am curious about this game. If it is anything like the GTA mods I think it will be fun to play.
There should certainly be a feature which allows the player to travel through time anytime they want, fly or drive the DeLorean, use the Hoverboard, Time Train...etc...
Should be fun and maybe will open up some doors for DTS to do a line of cartoonized action figures.

I hope they do it like the Ghostbusters game (except alot longer please). I found the SNES game that the big headed character screenshots are from and its actually pretty fun.

There are some pre-existing game mods that are BTTF related, such as the total conversion mod for "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and a fully functional downloadable vehicle for "Crysis."

There is something that's bugging me. If the new game takes place months after Part 3, then why is Doc Brown's garage one of the settings? I would think that after months of not paying for the land lease and the power bill, the electricity and utilities be turned off and the building torn down. Unless Marty has graduated from high school and moved into Doc's garage with Jennifer, that setting shouldn't be in the game as it would not exist anymore, even if the image of it in the video is only a concept (not to mention the giant continuity error in the concept art, which is the fact that the speaker that's in the garage should still be blown out, as Doc never fixed it and Marty obviously has no knowledge on working with electronics in the same matter as Doc, unless he decided to take a few electronics classes at a local community college).
