New Airsoft PR On Evike

No, the counter runs off an ordinary 9 volt battery. The bigger stick battery is only for firing the gun. Also, the counter counts down by actually sensing pellets leaving the barrel, so don't expect that to function without actually firing.

The counter runs off a 9v battery. The gun itself runs off a rechargeable battery. The battery that comes with the gun is very weak and not worth trying to play with. Upgrade to a better quality battery or a bigger battery for a faster rate of fire. The stock battery can't shoot a full mag before it dies.
I would suggest one of the 9.6v stick batteries.

Oh well. Might be a little tricky showing off the counter if I have to shoot it. I don't think the cats would want welts or little air soft balls all over the yard. I wonder if they'd knock out squirrels. Blasting at a tree rat with a pulse rifle has got to be more fun than a 10/22.

The airsoft gun shoots off an 8.4v rechargeable battery. The counter is powered by a 9v battery. In order for the counter to "count down" a BB has to pass thru a set of infrared LEDs near the end of the barrel. Every time a BB breaks the beam a signal is sent to the counter to count down a digit.

"The Emperor is not pleased."

Thought I had bookmarked the build but can't find it.
It was in-depth talking about DC logic and very specific about what wires need to go where and why.

That battery would be a good upgrade, yes. However, I would suggest going with the 9.6v battery. It's a bit more expensive, fits a little tighter, but it will give your gun a higher rate of fire. The only downside is you would need a new charger. But, if you just want your gun to shoot, then yes, go with that battery. You can use the charger that came with your gun.
