New Airsoft PR On Evike

Are there any distributors for these in European Union?

Have seen only a few websites, but they are a) usually out of stock and b) charge about 500 EURO (!) for this thing :unsure

If you can wait...I´m in the process of upgrading my PR and build an all metal version with HCG shroud. Once done, I´ll sell my current softair-based PR ;):thumbsup

Cool! How will the one that you intend to sell compare to this version?

Nothing set in stone as of yet, but I doubt that I´ll keep BOTH PR´s, once finished.

Once my "hero" PR is done (real Thopmson, real SPAS12, real 870, HCG SHrouds, SDS conversion parts) and IF all works out the way I plan, the "spare" PR should have the following components:
- Softair M1A1 (can´t remember whether TM or Cybergun atm
- Matsuo vacformed shrouds (have a set of his awesome alu-resin shrouds "left" as well)
- Steel barrel vents and shoulder stock (matsuo or SD)
- HCG Grenade Launcher

Very neat. The price might be an issue though...

I still need to pick up the correct battery. Is that $25 dollar battery on evoke the only option that fits?

Because of the tight space and the design of the battery, it's got to be a stick type, but I'm sure that you could get one from somewhere else if you checked around.

Seriously though, the 8.4 that came with mine works fine.

Something else that I thought of was to clarify what the "Hop Up Edition" tag is that comes attached to the PR. Some people have asked if the hop up tag should be cut off or not. Here's the deal - the Evike PR (made by Snow Wolf) has the ability to fire airsoft rounds further than most airsoft guns, which can easily be adjusted on the fly with the toggle on the top of the gun just above the trigger housing. From what I've found, that's a neat feature (but I'm not airsoft warrior). So I cut mine off, but kept it in case it would ever be needed for anything. The booklet also says 'Hop Up Edition' on it.

Also, as far as authenticity goes, I really like how the fully auto/single shot, safety, and mag release levers all function correctly:

Seriously, this thing is bad to the bone! LOL!! I haven't run around with a gun in hand making firing noises shooting invisible aliens like I did yesterday, since I was a kid!!! LOL!!

In airsoft the term Hop Up refers to a small system of a screw and a rubber tube or flap in the breech area of the gun. There is a rubber stopper that holds the bb in place before you shoot, to keep it from rolling out of the barrel between shots. This is adjustable in most guns. The tension can be adjusted on the "Hop Up" to introduce some back spin to the bb. By turning a screw or twisting a knob, the hop up can be tightened or loosened. This effects the accuracy and trajectory of the bb. The hop up can be a simple screw pushing a rubber pad up to more complicated systems. But that's what it is. Feel free to remove your tags.

OK....so I'm an airsoft noob....lol....and my PR from EVIKE came with a bag of 6mm bb's for my gun.

Tonight, I thought "let's check this out and see the counter count down from 95, ect...

So I put in so bb's, stood up the shipping box (still filled with packing materials, foam, etc..) and was totally shocked to see that not only did the bbs tear through one side of the box, but also through the packing materials and out the other side!!! HAHAHAAHAHHA!!

It would hurt like hell to get shot with one of these!!! LOL!!

*note to self, keep the safety turned 'on' and the mag out of the gun when showing to friends...lol...

On a side note though, the counter worked like a charm!

I misted the "Made in China" logo with flat black, waited 5 seconds and wiped it off. It stuck to the white lettering just fine.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but does anyone of you know a source for a replacement selector-plate (semi/ full auto) for a TM M1A1. Can´t say if the cyberguns M1A1 plate is identical...

Searched the web, but didn´t find anything as of yet.

Many thanks in advance!

Dave, yes these guns shoot those little 6mm BB's at about 400fps! They can rip apart a Coke can at 20 feet or more. Plus, they can be modified with stronger motors, better springs and vavlves to shoot even faster. Check out Youtube for same awesome videos of what airsoft guns can do. I have collected airsoft for 10+ years. It's an awesome hobby and can get expensive too!

Odiwan, are you talking ablout the barrel shaped selector switch to flip between full and semi?

I was referring to the plastik plate inside of the airsoft M1A1.
It´s connected to the switch/ lever at the outside of the Thompson where you can select between semi and full auto.

Crazy!! LOL....and I'm surprisingly interested in making it more....vicious!! LOL!!

What size bit did you use to take the bracket off? I tried everything that I've got here and not of my bits fit the bracket size.

You know, I actually was wondering if a little finger nail polish remover might take off that lettering but didn't want to risk messing up the color.

I took the lazy route and just masked off the shroud with 4 pieces of wide tape. But yea those allen nuts are tiny metric IIRC.

I found an allen wrench that fit it's tiny size and at least for the moment, just reveresed the brackets so that the Made in China is on the non action side.

If anyone's interested - here are some good pics from Evike regarding the parts that make up the PR customized setup:

I know it helps for me to see these since I'm more visual about parts. Hopefully some of you find these useful too.

Hey guys - question.

Does anyone know an easy way to rubberize the shotgun grip (or where to buy a replacement that's already rubberized? I was just messing around and wrapped it in electrical tape to see what it would look/feel like since it's just molded ABS plastic, and while it didn't look great (wrapped in tape that is), it did give it more realism.

There is the spray. Plasti Dip. Might want to test it on some scrap plastic first. Might try it myself.
