I REALLY like this. Not only did it let me know this Nerf gun existed it inspired me to do my own. I'll post pics when it's done.

2. I picked up a squirt gun for 50 cents and cut off some section and covering holes with thin scrap plastic. I went through my junk box and found an old brass turn knob that I machined a few years back to use for the trigger. I used a replica graflex glass eye holder in the barrel section with a piece of an old pen I stuck inside. Below that is a fake LED bezel from an old Larbel Obi saber.
I used several layers of paint and wet sanded each layer. The main color is a color called anodized bronze. It is a dark gray metallic color. I figured that too many people use black. Using that color allowed me to us a black wash as to create a weathered look and help pick up the details.

Where'd you get that one from?
Sorry, been out of town.
That was a Dollar Tree a few years back. There was 2 in a pack.
What type of gun is that?!
Also I know it's not nerf but here is the only custom gun I've made
For my Design Fundamentals II class we had to create an Assemblage piece (basically we had to take random objects and turn them into another object) I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to make my first prop! I decided that I wanted to make a Steampunk Ray gun. I made this using some forks I had bent at various magic gigs, an old Airsoft Revolver my brother gave me to use as a movie prop, a tin can, a LOT of Electric Tape, some Rubber Bands, Magnetic LED's (I got these from thinkgeek... they are AMAZING!), and Copper spray paint. I also painted the handle a Rusty brown color and painted some grey highlights on the gun. I really love how this piece turned out! Let me know what you think!
