Nerf Gun Props? YES!

I would love to see some more "before and after" pics, and maybe some of the paint techniques you use! You do such a great job, it'd be a treat to see more of the process. ^_^

This thread is so awesome. Ive just bought myself a Mavrick to mod up. If it ends up looking anything like it looks in my head i'll be well chuffed :)

Haha, I hope it comes out just how you want. That's why I started this thread at the end of January and I hope you'lll post the photos when you're done, mate! Good luck to ya and have fun with it.

I'll make sure to add more "work in progress" photos when possible, I know people like to see the builds :) I've tried to explain the painting style, but since I'm more of a painter than a teacher, I usually suggest people do a search for weathering or model painting in general to get some tips on certain effects you're looking to replicate. It's not really a secret, that's more in the mixing and layout of the guns, the rest is just practice and then some more practice :)

Thanks for checking out the thread and I'll be sure to add more of the WIPs for ya! :)

I relly don't understandy why if Hasbro can make the figs why Nurf can't do Star Wars blasters?

They have a few, but they're not the larger guns that I'm sure people would like to buy. I don't know why they wouldn't capitalize on that idea, but who knows, maybe they are and we just don't know about it yet! ;)

Thanks and have fun checking out the new stuff!

Again great looking paint customization. And, you said Nurf is making some of the smaller Star Wars blasters. I think Rubies makes the ANH version of the Han Solo blaster, but what I would love to see is the Star Wars blasters that shoot Nerf rockets. Nurf is a division of Hasbro and Hasbro has the license for Star Wars figures.

Ya, it doesn't make sense, but knowing that they love money, it must be some legal reason. I can't think of anything else!

They have 3/4 scale clone blaster and also some small guns that don't really copy anything from the movies or comics, but they at least look a little different from the others. Lets call Hasbro! :)

I went to my local Toysrus yesterday and I was surprised to see they had quite a decent selection of Nerf.

There is also this other brand that's been around for a while 'Tech Group'
Saturator - Tech Group - Paint Guns, Water Guns
They have a few decent styles, but I think they were older because they were on sale.

Those are pretty cool looking! Yes, I'm always interested in places to pick up cool looking guns. Always feel free to send them my way! :)

If Hasbro will not do it, then this would be a great line for AirSoft. I could really go for some Star Wars AirSoft guns.

I'm not an airsoft expert, but i dont think it would be too hard to gut an airsoft gun, take out the internals and nescessary outer parts (gearbox, magazine lock mechanisms, barrel, etc.) and then gut a full size toy star wars gun and then just put the airsoft parts into the toy gun.

Good idea. Planning one already, but may take a while to track down the parts.

I know they have shells that are designed to fit over an existing Airsoft rifle to make it look like an M41A Pulse Rifle (that uses a Thompson submachine gun body!) I would think someone would have made a SW gun at somepoint :)

An Airsoft Sterling sub-machine gun would be AWESOME! Then it could be modded into an accurate Stormtrooper blaster! :):thumbsup

Okay, this is something that I've been thinking about for the last few weeks... 5 years ago, it wouldn't have been an option... but now, if what you want is basically a Maverick with an extended barrel and/or a stock, you no longer have to buy a Maverick and go to the trouble of customizing it...

All you have to do is go to WAL*MART and pick up the WAL*MART EXCLUSIVE Nerf Spectre, seen in the following pictures...

Well said!

Here's a commissioned Maverick I just wrapped up tonight. Did the 5 cent mod and removed the restrictions. Shoots a streamline about 50 feet. Quickly. :)
