Nerf Gun Props? YES!

I just recently made this Fallout 3 style Sawed-Off Shotgun prop from a Bumblebee double barrel shotgun. It even ejects the shotgun shells!

Haha, I JUST posted on your thread when I saw the beginning of your build! Very funny timing! Well done on the gun!

LOL, thanks a video would be great (picture paints a thousand words, etc) :thumbsup.

Need for cash can certainly be a great motivator, but enjoying what you do is always a better one I think and it certainly looks like you're enjoying yourself with these paint jobs.

I think most of us try to learn from each project and do better on the next one (don't always succeed though, :lol), so you're right that isn't anything but good.

For sure I'll post some shots of my Stampede when I get to working on it it. Busy re-vamping a Hasbro Boba Fett EE-3 at the moment but I'm not as quick as you plus this is more of a re-build than a re-paint so it might take me some time yet:eek.

Good luck with both projects. I know they'll look great. Taking your time is always a smart move, one I only sometimes obey ;)

J.A. I really dig that robocop pistol in Olive Drab and black. That looks fantastic! The rattler looks cool too. Those are very seburo looking. Did I post that already?

Thank you and no, I don't think you did but I'm also not 100% sure heh. Even if you had, I'm not one to turn down a kind word! :) You gun looks great BTW, very well done

The red and black color scheme reminds me of the gun from KITE. So those still function as light guns?

That's a really nice paint jobs guys, I did this with my nerf maverick a while back, but while I was disassembling the gun I lost one of the springs to fire the gun. My wife bought me a new one recently so I guess I'll give it another go.

Ya they should still function just fine (though the buttons might be a little sticky), but for a quickie 5 hour job I was really happy with how they came out. Especially considering that we were painting in temperatures around 50 degrees. The red came out really great, it's of that anodized style like the gold in the 92f's I posted before.

JohnsonArms your stuff looks great. I saw some of them this weekend in person at the Vulcan Events Convention this weekend.

A few (bad) pics of some Guncon 2 light guns a friend of mine and I did tonight for him. He's had them for awhile now and wanted them painted as opposites of each other in black and red. Apologies again for the crappy phone pics.

that's fantastic! Glad you got to see them in person! I hope you guys hada blast at the event!

We you a vistor or a vendor? I was wondering if you knew Robert Westerfield by chance.

Just a few things I worked on this weekend. It's was mainly relax mode though. Gotta have a few days of not inhaling paint fumes :)

The first two are simple clear plastic airsoft and the shotgun is by Buzz Bee.

and this was just silliness. I put on the supressor because it would not balance without it on there :)

I was there as a visitor and worked as a vendor both. I met Robert over the weekend. He is a great guy, fun to talk to.

I absolutely love the District 9 paint job, I should imagine they will sell like hot cakes no problemo!

One thought I have is that it if I were doing it I might fit a D9 trademark "can", either behind the grip or on the top where the barrel section angle's down at the back, something like this:-

Not intended as any sort of crit of your excellent work BTW just my 2.5 cents worth of what for me would make an already great looking weapon absolutely incredible.
