Need Help with Molding (Food Grade Silicone)

So being on the Han in Chocolate thread, I'm in the need of somebody who has molding skills using food grade silicone. I'm unskilled when it comes to molding and I need help. Also I just don't seem to have time anymore so me actually getting around to this before Halloween is probably out of the question.

So I'm here asking for help. Can somebody who uses (and has some available, if not I'll pay for it as well as their time) Food grade silicone, help me out by molding the Han figure I have?? I'd like to get this done before Halloween.

Please PM or email me at lgilbert@insight.rr.com if you can help me finish this project.

thanks

Lowell

I know and am using food grade silicone currently ! Its from Silpak but will have to call in for the actual part number for you. I have one that is a two part putty but I think you want the pourable stuff.

Well, I'm about ready to start my Han in Chocolate project. Got my mold box done

Not perfect, I know, but it should do. And I just got my silicone in today.

Hopefully by this weekend I should have my finished mold. Man, I'm nervous as hell, though. I've never done anything like this.:eek

Well, I have to say, that was easier than I thought.:cool

My first attempt at molding something and I think I did a pretty good job. Now, the chocolate!:D

If you have any silicone left it will help you make multiples faster if you make another mold. I guess it depends how many you need.

Sorry I can't help Lowell. I still havent found my stuff since I cleaned up the garage...

I thought about that, but I'm not really sure how eager I am to go through it all again. I'm just going to make a few for friends and family, so I should have plenty of time to do it between now and Halloween.

If I had access to a vac form table, I would have much rather gone the route you did, Cris.
