Hey all,
Ive managed to put together all the parts needed to replicate the RVS radio unit used by the MFP except the "speaker grills" used
on either side of the unit.

I know this mesh/grill was used in a lot of different radios etc for many years but i have had trouble finding it.
I have seen it in some ebay things but the weight of the units it comes with is too expensive to send to Australia.

If anyone can help me get enough of this mesh to cover, say four silver dollars (would like to make 2 units)
i guess the scale would be, i would be very grateful.

Cheers.

In Chemistry labs, there are these things called wire gauze pads that you can use to heat up solutions. They are around 3-4" in length and width. I checked ebay and they only seem to sell packs of around 300-400 for 40 USD. It would be a lot less expensive if you just asked a chemistry class in a college nearby if you could have one of their older wire gauze pads. By spray painting them black, you should get a good representation of your grating style. hope this helps.

I'd look through the perforated metal section of your local industrial metal supply. You probably can find a remnant in their "cut" bin for the sizes you need for $10 or whatever their nuisance fee runs to.

Or there's always online with the Australian version of McMaster-Carr. You'll pay at least $50 and get a full sheet though.

Look up item# 280496057943
on ebay.

It is $5.00 (looks like enough for both sides) and they likely made the real parts out of this sort of stuff.
