NEED HELP! Wampa Containment Warning Sign idea

Can anyone remember if more footage was on the cd-rom? It seemed like you saw the troopers go up to the door etc. I wish I still had it!

By this, do you mean the "Behind the Magic" CD Rom? There's definately a lot of stills from that scene on there, but I don't seem to recall any actual footage of it. I have it upstairs, so I'll try to have a look when I get a free moment.

Fridge magnets are a great idea, the font looks like Aurabesh (spelling) The photos also serve as great reference for the snowtrooper backpacks :thumbsup

Wow, thanks for all of the responses guys! OldKen... that is brilliant! Consider it done once I have recreated the artwork.

Paper props as well. They are easy enough.

Someone mentioned the markings/language... what was it again? It would be easier to recreate if I knew it was a code font or something that I could type out instead of drawing by hand.

Thanks for the great HD shot as well. Can't quite figure out what the white smear is along the middle/bottom. Snow?

A word of warning though - it may not be Aurabesh as shown in that letter guide from West End Games. Also, the downloadable Aurabesh font can differ from what's actually seen in the movie. Not sure when it was developed, but it may have been produced after ROTJ, based on the letters seen in that movie, so previous movie's lettering doesn't always match it (please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm going on half remembered theories here). I know for a fact that the "Aurabesh" lettering on the ROTJ Y-Wing helmet does not match exactly with what's available to download, though it is very close.

ARRRGHH! What is that white "text" going across the red logo?! Almost like something rubber stamped onto it in white.

This is going to be the toughest detail to nail down.

The white is either a reflection or snow. It's cold on Hoth.

I'd also go with a deeper red.

I'd bet it says DANGER in Aurabesh

All the pics of the sign have the white lettering. It's not snow or a reflection.
The Aurebesh font wasn't really used in the movies until the Special Editions and Prequels. Most of the letters are in ROTJ, but it's not readable.
The lettering on the sign may be influenced by Hebrew. It looks somewhat similar and the Hebrew lettering on Vader's chectbox was added in ESB.

Ok, well this is my best attempt with the resources available:

I think it's close and I'm not attempting the white scrawling across the bottom since clearly there was one without it.

Comments? Ideas? Whatever?

An interest thread will be posted in the Junkyard once I feel the design has reached it's maximum potential. Shirts & magnets will definitely be made available. Signs if the interest is there.

I still think you need to make more of an X on this. Thinning out the lower legs. As demonstrated in the pic above.

Sure there may have been two, for mulitple takes. Just think this one looks more balanced and maybe to the point. X= Don't come in here.
