Need help locating airsoft Beeman FWB C55.

This is not a general purpose "does anybody make an airsoft version?" thread; I actually found one a year or two ago online in the $40-$50 range. I couldn't afford to buy it at the time, but am looking to get it now. However, for the life of me, I can't recall what the airsoft version was called, nor where online I found it.

I recall Googling the Beeman name and "air gun" or "airsoft" or something and finding an airsoft and/or paintball forum that had a link to the product, and that it was sold on multiple sites, but now I get nothing. The real gun was used as the base for the Naboo ascension guns in Episode I, but I'm convinced that the airsoft version was used as the base for this gun in the Stargate Atlantis episode "Missing," so hopefully somebody here remembers this airsoft or knows where it can still be found.

Thanks in advance.

The Gun you´re looking for is actually a german "Feinwerkbau C55" CO2 airgun, which was sold under the name of the US licenese-holder "Beeman" for over $1500 IIRC.

I never heard of any airsoft version, but IF it exists I´d be highly interested :cool

BTW: The SGA gun you´ve posted a link of is definately NOT based on a C55 pellet gun, but some kind of small caliber sporting pistol...Walther or Hämmerli would be my first guess.

I stand corrected...it´s neither a Walther, nor a Hämmerli, but obviously an older version of the PARDINI SP .22lr sporting pistol. Here´s a pic of the newer gun, plus a small pic of the older one:

Oh, it exists. The barrel was missing those distinctive ribs, IRRC, but otherwise it was a pretty close match for the FWB C55. Which is why it's so frustrating that I can't find it again.

Thanks for the info on the SGA gun. I'm a little disappointed that now I don't have a reason to do a custom build. :p

The C55 itself is an airgun, (as in fires pellets, not bullets) not airsoft.
You sure you didn't just see the real thing?

Yeah, 'cause it was $40, all black and had its own name/model number. But it looked like it had been modeled on the C55.

I did some poking on A.S.A.P. last night and in one of the old threads about the Naboo ascension gun, one poster mentioned having seen an airsoft version. So it's not just me. No info in the thread on what it was, of course... :wacko

Through complete perseverance, I relocated the original forum topic that I found ~1 year ago. Here's the airsoft in question. Turns out it isn't an FWB C55 after all, but, as the Naboo gun pic from the topic shows, the body and grip are close enough that it could probably be (heavily) modified to work for either the Naboo gun or the SG:A gun. At any rate, $50 for the gun is better than the hundreds a set of those distinctive grips sells for...

Sorry -again- to burst your bubble ;)...

But while I agree about $50 being better than hundreds of $, the airsoft version you´ve posted is no good start for the ascension gun IMHO.
Too many inaccuracies/ differences and the -plastic- grips are not even close to the original C55 ones (BTW: I sold quite a few of these along with other real conversion/ upgrade parts in the past and a grip used to go for about $100....not hundredS ;) )

Maybe the Walther LPM-1 based Naboo blaster would be a better choice since it matches its overall shape more than of the ascension gun!?
