Need help in making Star Wars 12" figure stands

Hello,
I hope I'm creating a thread in the right place. Still kind of new to this. I have about 20 Star Wars figures that are of the 12 inch size / collection. Most are from 1978 and I have a lot of newer ones as well. I don't want to just try and stand them on the shelf due to the possibility of them falling off (which some have already done). As I said most are from 78 and are pretty fragile. Looking at other collections on here and I see a lot of people have character stands.

I've looked for stands for purchase and I've had no luck finding them so I was thinking maybe I could just build some myself. I want them to look nice and show off the characters. Any ideas? Right now there sadly in a plastic tub where no one can see them.

THESE are a little cheaper and are a lot stronger. The downside is that they only support the figure at the crotch area, if that matters to you. Otherwise, they work great!
