Need a few tips on Leg Armour

Ive been pondering how to make cool looking leg armour. I was thinking about fashoning something out of Eva foam and shin pads, but before I do it I thought I would ask you guys first on how to make good looking leg armour (Cheeper the better).

I will attach a picture of what Im wanting to aim for, sorry its so small.

I made my shin armor out of a pair of soccer shin guards that I found in a sporting goods store. They're cheap, are adjustible to fit anyone, and you can modify them pretty easily by attaching foamie pieces where you want them.

I also made a couple sets of arm gauntlets out of soccer shin guards. There are photos of them somewhere in the "Arsenal" section . . .

Those look real effective. I was thinking about modifying my arm gauntlets iswell, Ive got a good idea wat to do now.
