So I'm building this sideshow-esque terminator and need a base for the T-800. I want to add the skulls like the SS production piece and was thinking of these...

(just called the company...these are not lifesize)

Anybody have any suggestions where I can pick up a few lifesize skulls on the cheap? I want to keep away from ones that have removable skull caps....less bondo work for me :D

Thanks in advance.

There's a model kit by Skilcraft of a 1:1 skull that was in hobby stores a while back. Anatomically correct and around 20 bucks if I remember correctly.

Kinda looks like he's smiling.

Thanks for your help guys...I bought a couple!

Anyone has a source for higher quality lifesize realistic skulls ? In the $80/$100 price range ?

Something that could pass up for a real recently found one ? :love

Cool ! Thanks :thumbsup

Is it good quality ? Fragile ? Movable/Removable pieces ?

The sturdier the better !

Try this:

I bought one of these replica skulls once and it really does look realistic. It had a removeable cap and lower jaw, even the interior of the skull was detailed. I believe it cost me £50.00. It was very strong and sturdy. I'm sure you could find a way to create casts from a piece like this and have as many skulls as you need. You could knock out some teeth, or have a laser bolt burnt hole in the cap of one skull (as if shot by a Terminator) just to make them all look a little different! :)

I picked up some rotocast ones that were cast from the real thing at Walgreens last Halloween for $5.99. They were distributed by East West Distribution Co. from Deerfield Il, 60015. They are one piece and pretty close to full size. Since they are rotocast resin they can be cut down too. They look better than many of the really expensive ones I have had.

Saw this in a toy store today and thought of this thread. "Poor Yorick" was on the box and cost $14.99 USD, same as they appear to be on eBay.

If you were planning on weathering some of these, namely separating the jaw from the face, on this skull the jaw is movable. (Which is cool since its usually not on cheapie skulls).

I own a haunted house...we get all of our skulls, skeletons and bones from the anatomical chart company.
They have factory seconds for skeletons and skulls. This is the place you want...they have science class quality skulls for like $15-$25

Most of the other links posted above, buy their stuff from this place.

Back in my halloween/haunted house running days when I bought a lot of bones, I used the Anatomical Chart company: http://www.anatomical.com/

You want to look for their factory fourths. They make anatomically correct models for classroom use and sell the stuff that comes out of the mold a little off to the halloween/hobby market.

It's decent stuff, cast from fairly strong plastic, but heat moldable, should you be so inclined.

Doh! that's what I get for posting without looking at the second page!
Anyway, yea.. anatomical chart company.. that's where it's at.
