Neckties!

Hrm, they always seem to do a loose approximation of the designs, nor worth it for their price, so I'd really rather just wait to see if Magnoli get's around to it.
If not I'm going to see if a local embroidery shop could do it... I'd have to find some good burgundy-purple silk though.

Yea, and those printed ties kind of look like garbage. It just doesn't work for something that's supposed to have so much texture.

I'm with Punchbuggy here. If you do all the remaining ties for Tennant I know you have customers for them. Many want to complete the collection. Smith collectors I know feel the same as well.

We still never got the most worn bow tie, the Burgundy woven one from series 6.

Maybe we can request that Mrs Bow Tie do the flower one?

They are looking at doing it, but an actual embroidered one would be much nicer than a printed design. I've got a few of theirs and the Name of the Doctor one is the one that came out looking the best.

There's six left, two floral, two striped, and two spotted ones. Now if we could just find a decent reference of that Kenzo tie.

Indy,
I found a slim necktie at JC Penny a number of months ago that has an accurate color AND weave for the Series 6 Burgundy bow tie (I bought two of them with the intent of having them made into a bow tie) if I loan them to you, could you use it as a sample to have the fabric replicated?

Indy, here is the tie (a VanHeusen band). My phones camera makes the color punchy, but it's more burgundy in person:

Has anybody here purchased the AbbyShot 50th Anniversary bow tie that could speak to the quality? I've heard some mixed things about their products and would like some opinions before I consider purchasing one.

Just wanted to add my support for doing the Kenzo tie from Tennant's run. It's a glaring omission from my collection and what's frustrating is that the blue suit had much fewer ties. Any hope of getting that done would be great. The Ricci tie and the Chevron are both fantastic work. I love the detail on both!

The recent Lantern tie, for it's single appearance was a very welcome addition to my tie wardrobe, Very nice detail and very nice weight to it.

Is there hope for the Burgundy bow tie then? Not sure about everyone else but that's the big one for me as far as S6 goes and would love to have it. Damn the elusive texture and shape. However, anything you have to offer or to put out to us is surely welcomed by all cosplayers. :)

So I found this for the journey tie

Nice and high res (4284x2856) and focused on Matt's face and the bow tie.
The reason I'm posting it is because you can visibly see the pattern that's woven underneath the embroidery, it's not incredibly clear there but it should help a bit.
Also this one, which isn't as big or clear but still shows the pattern a bit

Looking for a higher res now
