I just got my closed mouth...love the size of this beast!

Well, I've had about 1/2 an hour to look over this bad boy from head to toe, and I gotta say - this thing rocks! The accuracy is phenomenal. I got the closed mouth and I think the overall sculpt is dead on accurate. They took the time to make sure the bone necklace and skulls were accurate. The gauntlet, blades, backpack, are all well done. Even the gloves have stitching, and the neck ring has the stripes painted on...something easily missed by most people.
The paint is sweet too. The spots are varied in size and the color is just right. Mine must have been made on a Friday because mine has a large u-shaped black mark where the spots are on the forehead. I can easily paint over it and fix it, so its all good. The gloves are even two tones of brown which simulates leather very nicely. The armor/backpack all have a nice dirty metal look to them which is hard to do correctly. And just looking at the brown tones, they did a fantastic job of fading the brown. Just look at the hands. From the wrist, its a dark brown, and then it fades nicely as you follow the hand to the fingers. Impressive.
Even though I don't have the masked version, just from looking at pics posted I can see that they tried as hard as possible to make it screen accurate - except for the large gap between the eyes and the mouth. Did anyone else notice that they left the gap in between the actual eyes? Which is interesting because Art Andrews was one of the few people who didn't think that area was cut out. Seeing that NECA kept the "brace" in there, is very interesting.
I bitched about this when I first saw it because I didn't like the idea of paying for three different figures when the only thing different was the heads. But after seeing it in person, I'm very impressed. I've seen a lot of kits, figures and models over the years and I'm blown away by how Neca went all out on the accuracy for this.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say without hesitation that NECA used this site and a ton of our reference pics. Thats too cool...its good to see accuracy taken to a level like this.

Haha, its true tho! I finally found an extra one at BBTS.com and will be getting it as soon as I get paid on Friday.
This figure is comparable to a vinyl kit that you'd then have to paint. Aside from Hot Toys, I've never seen a figure look this good.

Aaaah... my good friend. You will not be disappointed. The actual feeling of having this in your fleshy fingertips is almost as pleasurable as... dare I say... eating a slice of greasy, yummy, out of this world pizza!!! Oh my...

Glad to know I made the right decision ....and I love Pizza (especially Chicago style deep dish)

Yup you need another, have two or three of these better then having just one. Support NECA, show them we want a P2 this size...

Love my closed mouth. I'm still debating about how to get it to stand without taking a dive at some point. Thinking about hot glueing this bad boys feet to the shelf. It's worked for me in the past.
