National Treasure: Book of Secrets

Ok, I've almost finished with my replica of one of the missing pages from Booth's diary...I've only had the few screengrabs I've been able to snag off of the trailer to use for reference, and I'm just a bit stuck on one detail.....there is a line or scribble or something along the top of the page....haven't been able to quite make it out...is it a scribble...or is something written there...does anyone have an idea, or a better image to go by?

Wow....excellent shots! Way better than the ones I used..I just clicked the "print screen" button while watching the trailer and posted in MS Paint to save image.
Ok, I give....what IS the date? :lol

Also, what about that tiny, tiny thing scratched out just below the word "Legatus"? I'm sure it has some importance to the plot, one way or another..unless it's a close-up heading more toward the name "Gates", which is important for obvious reasons. :rolleyes

Thanks for the pics, by the way...this will help me clean up a few details I missed from my own screen grabs.

June something? Hmm...

Thanks for the pics and the idea though. I may have to replicate this too. :)

It almost looks like "Friday 3." or something close.

And you could also try to work in the "stamp" that they discover:

Yeah, those are the dates from the diary page blanks.

The one in the middle looks like "FRIDAY 3", the one at the top looks like "THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1864".

I think you may be right about that....just for back up info, I found this webpage about the real Booth diary and it's missing pages...

...so the date does seem to be accurate as far as a time it could have been written.
Thanks everybody! I should have this thing done this weekend.

Dang, those guys sure did their research when they wrote the story!

The lines of handwriting say:

Surratt - Copiae

Spangler - Equus

Atzerodt - Heres Imperat

Payne - Legatus

Thomas Gates - Artifex

As an aside for those interested in the actual assassination, I highly recommend the book "Manhunt" by James L. Swanson.

hi all,

great shoots of the "booth page" in here and all necessary informations. Thanks to verybody involved so far :thumbsup

Does somebody have the correct size of this page ? Or does somebody know the size of the complete (unburned) sheet of paper, the names are written on?
So we can go from that point. Thanks in advance!

Cool nice, little prop :love
