NASA lightsaber!

Becasue there are 3 versions of the Luke saber used, not to be confused with the V-2. It's easier than saying "shared stunt saber."

There were 3 stunts? The v2 is called that because it's the 2nd shared stunt saber.

What you called v3 is the first stunt saber so calling it v3 is odd.
V1 would be more appropriate wouldn't it? :lol

Not to be confused with Hero version. Maybe just classified as to which one was seen the most in the movie, or the most popular. I give up!

Guys....as far as I've heard and learned over the years...
there's the Hero or V1, V2 black, and shared stunt.

Hero being the closeup model only seen in like that one shot with Vader holding it.

The V2 is aka the black Luke...used mostly throughout the film.

The shared stunt which is the flat emitter style (that went up today).

I don't see any reason not to call it the V3..makes sense to me.

It would make more sense calling them H (hero) and S (shared stunt).

It should be H1(hero), H2(copy of the hero), S1(shared stunt 1) S2(shared stunt 2).

The V2 was actually used the most so it could be argued it was the hero which would throw all the names off. The S1 was used as a stunt saber on ROTJ but the S2 wasn't.

Anyway, just throwing ideas out there. I'm sure everyone will call them what they are used to.
