N.T. Declaration of Independence help

I've heard pretty good things about this one, but I haven't seen it first-hand yet.http://store.ushistory.org/showitem.asp?iid=68&cid=36

I happen to own a replica of the Declaration from the actual store, which is the same one listed at the website by Adam C.. It's a very good replica, the paper feels rather pulpy. But it's a pretty good. The only thing is that the replica I bought from the store, in person, it was only $9.95, not the $19.95 that Nic Cage complained about in "National Treasure."

The actual store at the actual Department of U.S. History actually sells replicas of the DoI in various sizes, including one that is 8x11. I went with the 1:1 scale version.

OK I have had both one from Independance hall in Phillie and one I purchased at the National Achives. Niether really look like the real document. The type look very close but on both copy is just a little smaller. It seem that on the original DOI " In Congress" is very near the top of the page. The copies it is a little lower on the page. I like the one I got at the Nation Archieves the best of the 2. I can't say weather or not the are made by the same companey just at differtant times. Also the printing on the copies is near perfect and the original one can hardly read.
There was a near perfect copy in one of the Smithsonian building. But it too like the original was not for sale.

There is only one source for an NT accurate DOI. And it is Indy Magnoli that you seek. Nothing else compares to his work. Period.

Indy doesnt? Than the prop world is taking a hit because he is AMAZING!

But didnt he just do a run of Masonic Medallions? Did you ask him?

I think he still make the other props, but the declaration is not cheap, but defineatly the one of the coolest out there, of course with acurate secret symbol on the back... :)

And so it begins,....Just ordered the Masonic Medallion and the Declaration of Independence from Magnoli. And yes I got the one with the invisible back. :love:cry:lol:lol:eek I'm feeling them all

Hope it is not wrong to ask... but how much does he charge for the DOI?

I think since he has not posted that I should not, but just pm him for details.

Actually I just looked and he does post prices. He probably just has not seen this thread.

It's $210 for the DOI with the invisible back that shows up with the ultraviolet light.

$125 without the invisible back

Price is shipped for both.

He is on a three month back log so it takes a while

Really cool, but a shame that you cant display it the right way to show the invisible sign on the back...

I want to frame it, so I think I will get a normal DoI for 10 bucks...

You could if you put it in a free standing frame about three feet from the wall. Put a mirror directly behind it and aim a blacklight on it:lol:lol:lol
