Mythbusters welded signs - possible project

A photo posted by Adam today, during one of their final days of filming, got me thinking about a possible fun project. Unfortunately I no longer have a real shop, nor welding equipment, so I'm posing this project to the group.

The "MYTHBUSTERS" "CONFIRMED" "BUSTED" and "PLAUSIBLE" signs that were used throughout the series in an untold number of cutaways of interesting circumstances. I don't know about you but I'd be interested in a set for myself, to continue to inspire creativity and the quest for answers. (Or some great wall hangers between science experiments.)

Who's interested in helping make these happen?

I lost interest in MB a long time ago...but to recreate the originals, I wouldn't go anywhere near steel, alloy, metal etc......I'd CNC router a master from a 3D file using acrylic sheet and/or maybe foamex....then cast, paint and weathering....

It's a lot of work for potentially a very limited market....time is money

The originals were plasma cut by hand. Then you just weld and grind. Pretty simple.

The show did mold them and cast some up in resin so they would have duplicates. So if you want to make them out of plastic, there is some "screen accuracy".

People on this board have made very close replicas using foam core board and hot glue. Search for it and I'm sure you'll find it.

This project almost came to fruition about five years ago. Adam posted that he was in if someone did a run of these, so I don't think he would mind :lol
