Mystery woman in AVP films

In the end of AVPR, theres a 'Ms. Yutani' - is she the same lady thats in the beginning of AVP when the one of Weyland's satellites spots a heat source? And how is she linked to these movies (Predator and/or Alien)?

The name YUTANI is a nod towards the company from the ALIEN series which was WEYLAND YUTANI. well it was a crap nod , but a nod none the less.

The company Ellen Ripley worked for was Weyland-Yutani, it was a merger between bishop weyland and ms Yuntani's companies to form a resource hungry ruthless corporation....

But by alien 3 the companies had been dissolved...but what AVP and AVPR tried to do was show us both characters and how their experience with aliens and predators probably led to them joining forces, although mr weyland got his insides diced before he could...but as lee said it was a crap nod..

Not to be redundant but in the begining of AVP the corporation is the Weyland Corporation. Since Mr Weyland died and the stock would have fallen 10-11%(fore shadowed) that would have given the Yuntani Corporation an oportunity to merg before the plot of AVPR.
If you notice also in the Alien movies the Weyland-Yutani ships do have come kanji wrighting on some control/access panels.
